I like the style, it reminds me of Swinburne and Cavafy.
There is an awesome channel with Cavafy. Of course as a Christian I must contest Babylon's permanence:

I was using Babylon as metaphor for Civilization.
Many Neohippies hate "Civilization" but use it's fruits to talk about how much they hate it.
