this band in this moment was magic. listen to it now and it's still amazing. great record. Miss you Ray. Jake.......come back to the light. it's time!
Yes I lusted after it for years but but the charvels with stratocaster head stocks where out of my price range I then found out its just a strat painted by charvel .and I have always had a strat .
@FractAlkemist $100 bucks a CD??..... If that's what you're paying have I got deal for you.. I have all the Badlands you want, and since I like you I'll only charge you $50 bucks a CD
@mrdouglas51510 Thanx, but I recently found them on Amazon, imports but the same albums, their first two - classics. Normal price now, but may not be there for long.
@FractAlkemist They've been re-released and remastered on Rock Candy Records.check out their website.re-releasing alot of out of print cds from the past.Another label that is re-releasing older cds as well is Wound Bird Records.
I used to take a break from my job as a lot boy at a local Chrysler-Plymouth dealership and take a lesson from Fitzgerald. It was great! I used to hear how Ray auditioned for Sabbath and how "Iommi was an arrogant bastard" (in describing Iommi's demeanor during the acapella audtion for Iommi and crew at Madison Square Garden or some such venue (memory fading now, I'm 41) Those were the halcyon days and Ray is that shining star. Never got to meet you but I will see you in the new system my bud.
Like i said in another comment, he died of AIDS because he was a pussy getting mother fucker, look at him, he was the king, and AIDS dont stand for anal injected death sentence.
how can you not put your foot through the friggin floor listening to anything this band put out. thanks jake& crew!!!. i can't put in to words the impact badlands has & what could have been!! r.i.p.ray.
Ray Gillen was a "All Your Love!!!" kind of man. He had the voice and what it took to be the the best! I never knew him but I wish I did. Most don't have what he did as a singer.
I like this version better. Dark colors seem so much better.

Years ago at the pier in NYC, I saw Badlands opening for Tesla and Great White who shared the bill.
When it was all said and done, I wished Badlands had shared the bill with Tesla instead of GW
Jake, Ray, and co. made my eyeballs melt.
