when i was younger my dad built a house based on my momas dreams house well when he finished he foundout she was in the hospital in labor he rushed there to find her dead the baby was the only survivor she is now10 my dad holds onto her like thtall he has left and well he forgot about me so i left he didnt notice for a week then sent out posters i was found in a fostercare facility im sad to say so is my sister when they found out tht he didnt give attention they desided its no place for a kid

My parents recently got divorced this year and I always find myself looking at my old house. It's not the house, it's all the memories that come along with it. My family was the happiest people I know and now we're broken inside and travel back and forth to apartments, but it's not a home. My house could be a cardboard box, but if we all lived together then it would be home.

I have lived in the Same Apartment my whole life. My parents moved in 17 years ago, and I'm now 15. We have new management, and they said we have to do all this stuff, and becasue of my mom's medical conditions, we can't do stuff that they told us too, and if we don't, they won't let us renew our lease. Gram and Pap took watched me all the time. My grandmother died when i was fourteen; that was the worst summer of my life. My grandfather died the following summer, almost one year to the day after Gram. Their house is the house that built me. When asked where i grew up, i always point to it. Never once have i pointed to my house.

i cried a couple times when i heard this song i lived in this house for a long time.then my parents got a divorce.i had 8 horses and 1 died before the divorce.after the divorce i lost the rest of my horses..we couldnt keep them.we had no farm to keep them on we got rid of all the dogs except one, because the city allows dogs.i miss my home and all of my animals and my family being together.divorces are hard.i feel for every one thats parents are dicorced..i feel for yall.i also HATE the city.=(

This song gets me everytime. I use to live in canada and my parents werent divorce at the time everyone was always soo happy together friends and family where always over. In my backyard instead of my dog being buried under a tree my bird is buried by the rocks in my back yard there where good and bad memories that will last a life time everytime i visit my old house in canada me and my sisters just cry thats why this song is soo inspirational to me and my family thank u mirandaformakingthissong

I have lived in the Same Apartment my whole life. My parents moved in 17 years ago, and I'm now 15. We have new management, and they said we have to do all this stuff, and becasue of my mom's medical conditions, we can't do stuff that they told us too, and if we don't, they won't let us renew our lease. This song is a perfect example of how this is. I grew up here, and because of new management, We will probley have to move. This Apartment built me, and I will cry, if I can't come back.

Im Goin to tell you something... the half of this song is EXACTLY what happened to me... I thought i could never go back to my home. I did , the hand prints on the front steps were mine. Up the stairs, in the back bedroom, is where i did my homework and i learned to play paino ( Not Guitair XD) and when my dog died, we burried her in the back yard under a tree I just went back to the house with my Frist BFF who has been my neighboor fer every, and Man I TOOK A LOT OF MEMz IMissMyOldHouse <3

This song reminds me of my grandparent's old house, it always has. Their house was and will always be my favorite place in the whole world. My grandpa recently passed away and we were very close, so this song really speaks to me.

i cried the first time i heard this song. I lived in the same old house for almost 16 years...i grew up in that house, my first dog is buried under the big oak tree in the back yard. On the second floor i did my homework and learned to play pool. I can't go back now, someone else lives there, but that doesn't stop me from driving by every now and then. Momma got her wish with daddy building her a new house.

I don't like Country music, but I LOVE this song.
Everytime I listen to it, it just makes me getting teary-eyed.
It reminds me of when I went back and visited the house I grew up in. I didn't really have many memories of it until I walked back into that house. Suddenly, I was flooded with memories. To me, it had so many memories. But to everyone else, it was just a building with 4 walls and a roof. It just really makes me realize how much changes in life.

Growing up, i lived in a big newly constructed house that my parents built. But, I was raised in the little old farmhouse right beside it that my grandparents owned. Gram and Pap took watched me all the time. My grandmother died when i was fourteen; that was the worst summer of my life. My grandfather died the following summer, almost one year to the day after Gram. Their house is the house that built me. When asked where i grew up, i always point to it. Never once have i pointed to my house.

This song made me cry the first time I heard it because it reminds me of my grandparents' house that I live din for the longest time(: I loved it so much because I had so much fun in that house. It's where I got my first guitar and I learned how to play it, and I played the piano. It's where I created so many memories with my first best friend who lived next door and my first true love/boyfriend who lived across the street. Ahh...I miss him.
