Those aren't planets they're stars in the background. The images and video, (which is available at the NASA SOHO site) are captured in the ultraviolet spectrum, not visible light. Since no other wave forms are present, (infrared, visible light, radio waves, etc..) there are no distortions or aberrations caused by a low f-stop. Basic astronomy folks.. :)

I worked Space Weather for a couple of years those squares are pretty common due to interference when the satellite sends data to earth, small pieces of data get dropped. You can easily pull up an image from another satellite for the same time it won't be missing the same data. You should see if ACE, Stereo A and Stereo B all have the missing data before posting a stupid theory.

If you had ever any exposure to the real science and observations you should have known by now, that this is very common to have these imperfections (dead pixels) form the digital equipment.
