How to make a crappy bootleg for a different system that isn't nearly as capable of the other:

1) Do some pitch-shifting to make it work on the 8-bit system and don't try to enhance it at all, or else it'll sound like the real thing! Let it rape ears!

2) Make the other system's mascot, a fat plumber, do the same as the light speed hedgehog, right?!

3) Make Green Hill Zone pink/red for that fat plumber. Hell yeah.

And, you've got a half-decent bootleg game. Ear/Eye raping, yes, but decent!
