Maiden with Di'Anno....ahhhh the business. I was at this gig. This is Maiden at their best. Burr was superb, technical and bouncy drummer, solid rock beat. Sorry but with Nicko you may as well have a drum machine. He made Maiden robotic. Dickinson lost them their rawness so they became mainsteam metal. do not underestimate the power of a live 79/80s Maiden gig. I saw 4 of them..all classic raw metal/punk. After Dickinson joined I never eant again.RIP the real Maiden and Paul....get out soon!!

i used to think that Bruce was the greatest voice for MAIDEN, but when i rediscovered the first two records, the guitar playing(had more emotion and feeling) the vocals fit the music perfectly.( just listen to the solos on this song and Phantom) Bruce will always remain the best for MAIDEN( because he made more records then Dianno)to some. but i feel that Dianno will remain the first and true frontman for MAIDEN because he made those first two records that are the start of a great musical entity

can't we all stop fighting over who's better between dianno and bruce. First of iron maiden was great with dianno and great with bruce. secondly dianno is the only reason dianno was kicked out, for one thing he really started to sound bad, and for another the feelings were mutual, dianno wanted out of maiden just as much as maiden wanted him out. Can't we juct agree that dianno songs sound great sung by dianno, and bruce songs sound great sung by bruce. Let's just forget the blaze era.

Paul diAnno has got a very short vocal range, he gets nowhere where Bruce does and obviously is not a suitable singer for a metal band, if theyd keep Paul, iron maiden sound would be the same every single album and would get boring after a while. Bruce is also a much better character than Paul is

This is IRON MAIDEN's best work right here! They soon became a super-group prior to their start, in very short order. Unfortunately, I don't like Bruce Dickinson much, as great as they say he is. I don't like his gimmicky, market-driven sattire, which brought the band much success, but also cheapened their natural talent, and true integrity to commercial grade mediocrity.
