@lovedecake Yes, iPod Touch 4G fits comfortably on the iPad dock. I don't have an iPad 2 dock, but thanks for the suggestion, I'll make sure to include that demo in my video once I get it.

@mrjust112 Yes, it works on iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, but they don't really fit on the dock and will get damaged.

@Slench101 At the time of the iPad's release and prior to iOS 4.2, the switch use to lock the screen orientation. The Switch is now a mute swtich.

@Slench101 No, but they have moved the accelerometer switch to a virtual button, you just have to tap the home key twice to bring up the task switcher, swipe to the right and you'll see it on the far left.

@noskid21 Unfortunately the iPhones are too thick to fit on the dock. The 3GS will fit but you have to force it on which will likely cause damage to the iPhone or dock over time.

@juankrlox The iPad doesn't have a user accessible file system, everything is managed through the apps so you have to go through them to manage content. There are countless productivity options like GoodReader, Evernote and iWorks. You can save photos to the photo gallery, but not videos.

@juankrlox There are a variety of app solutions for Document management, chiefly Apple's iWork suite. Now you can edit Google Docs from the iPad's web-browser.

@CTthelegend The only accessory here I still use regularly is the standard iPad dock, all the others are used infrequently. So if I had to recommend one thing, I would definitely get the dock, just know you wont' be able to use it with a case unless you take the case off or the case is designed for it (some have removable doors).

DetrioitBORG did you not get a cleaning cloth included in the iPad Case. I bought mine a few weeks ago and I got a screen size apple official cleaning cloth similar to the one you got with iPhone 3G.

@boosterrooster100 Do you mean the iPad dock without the keyboard? If the iPod fits, it will work as a sycning/charging dock regardless of the OS. The keyboard dock will also work for charging and syncing, but the keyboard will only work on iPads or iOS4 devices.

@jon4lakersfan Actually there are the iWorks apps which are word processors. Also, a keyboard can be used for e-mail, messaging, Blogging, and anything else you can think of doing on the web or with numerous productivity apps.

I don't understand why anyone would buy that ugly case from Apple! I mean what is up with that sharpish looking edge? It looks ugly. I just wonder if anyone is aware that there are cases of the same design out there that are leather and very pretty by compareisin!

@HateUTub I really like the Apple case design, but the material is hard to keep clean. The crimped edge provides impact protection and it helps to wedge the cover into the clasp on the back of the case. I've had several cases that don't do as good of a job pinning the cover back without slipping out.

What I don't like about the docks is that there is no power, the Ipad will not charge hooked p to a computer, so you still have to keep moving wires around. I wish the dock had a power input.

And i have the case, it is a great little case

@johnmonk66 The USB charging issue is complicated, but my iMac has high powered USB ports so I can charge my iPad connected to my iMac. If you are using a Windows PC or older Mac (not sure how old), most of them have low powered USBs, so they only charge when the iPad is sleeping. And unfortunately, the case prevents the iPad from sitting properly on the docks.
