  • Thanks, you saved my life. I almost cried. Lol

  • thank you so much for posting this, big big help

  • I have a 1965 magnavox console and I'm having a hard time getting the rubber mat off. Do you have any ideas? there is no where I can get my fingers around it.

  • @HawaiiLover9 The mat doesn't probably come off. The will be a 'C' clip near the center shaft the needs to come off. There will probably not be a belt but a drive wheel.

  • do you know where i can get a new cartridge? Also this is my first turntable and the sound is very fuzzy is that due to the needle being old?

  • Black sabbath :D

  • thank you!!! huge help. you are amazing!

  • thanks...a big help...

  • Thank you so much for posting this- it really helped my son and I figure out how to fix our turntable belt- without your video we would have never gotten it working ! A+A+A+

  • Thank you soooo much for posting this. I was given a used turntable and the belt had come off and i had no clue how to put it back. Thanks again.

  • @Yeseniaschick If it has come off it probably will again and needs to be replaced

  • hi i have a 2002 thomas paccini record player and it sounds like the songs are playing like slow? any help please?

  • @jg1988 could be belt or motor

  • @X2YeZCAMCNC thanks i'll check it which one is it.

  • thank you this was a huge help!!

  • @209celtics You are welcome

  • THANK YOU

  • @doodalseenpier you are welcome

  • My turntable is a Sears model 304.91916150. The platter doesn't have a rubber mat (it's solid plastic) and won't lift off; the pin in the center has a metal rim at the base that prevents it from sliding off like the one in your video. Any suggestions?

  • @blueoctopede I had an old cheap Emerson, I think it was, where the drive belt could only be accessed by removing the entire top part of the set, as the platter didn't come out from the top. The drive belt was only accessible by dismantling the stereo and accessing from the bottom, as the pin came loose only from the bottom.

  • thanks man! You totally made my day!!!

  • Thanks for the video. Was completely lost before watching.

  • Great Video!!!!

  • Thank you!!

  • Hi, I have a JVC AL-E11 turntable and I cannot lift up the platter because of the pin in the centre. Should I try to remove the platter by force or is it necessary to remove the pin first and how? Thanks for any help

  • @jablkovastrudla Check for a clip holding the plater on

  • @X2YeZCAMCNC thanks, I finally figured it out with some help on help forums

  • Thanks so much, i did this with my optimus la8-1000 and thanks to you im chillin with the Eagles.

  • @sdimedriver27 Enjoy

  • My turntable skips when I play vinyls and I know its not the needle, or the record, but I looked at the belt and its pretty old and loose, do you think this could be my skipping problem?

  • @ComfortablyNumbFilms Could be but more than likely it's the tracking weight is set to light

  • perfection!! i freak out bad :D five starts !!!

  • Thanks so much! Not my turntable, but same basic concept. I was totally lost before!

  • @clempka You are welcome

  • Thanks so much! I was able to change the belt on our Technics turntable so easily with this video! :-)

  • @terriannie1 You got it

  • I just got a sylvania 5000 record player.... it's not turning...(it turns on)... I tried taking off the rubbery part, but it's all metal under... no way for me to out my fingers in any hole to lift it up..... any suggestions? thnks

  • Also, if I can't, what can I do to make it scratch-able? I want to scratch forward and backward without damaging the motor. Thanks for showing this video, I really enjoy turn-tables. Every kid of my age wants the new iPod and the latest songs from Black Eyed Peas but for me, I want the rarest Beatles album and such but I also play songs like Fredde Le Grand and Ultimix.

Thanks again, even if you don't know the answer (:

  • I'm kind of new with the whole turn-table thing but i'm dreaming of becoming a DJ. After playing with my dads turn-table and due to old age and the fact that I tried to spin a non-spinnable turn-table, it resulted in the turn-table creating smoke. Now my uncle gave me his Technics Sl-220 and he's had this ever since he bought it back in the day when it came out. I don't want to try the same thing since this one is in perfect shape and it means much more. So i'm asking: can I scratch with this?

  • OMG!!!!! THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!! I just bought a Toshiba SR-F100. The belt was off when I got it. I had no idea how to put it on. Thank you soooo much.

  • @chuckapup You are welcome

  • My record player is a revolver and the rubber bad thing has come off! Can anyone tell me where somewhere that tells me how to put it back on because it doesn't have anything to put the belt thing on!! I can't find how to do it anywhere! Can someone please help me?

  • I made the same when I was 12 years old, years before Youtube and internet LOOOL

  • I fucking love you, the band came separate and it fucked me up.

Im so glad for this, thank you again.

  • @AveroOnTop OK You're welcome

  • alright now ! thanks

  • @joinus1100 You are very welcome. Glad you found this useful.

  • why da fuck are all the videos for replacing needles for DJ record players man i need to change my needle for a regular record player anyone have a video or can make one for me please =)

  • cool

  • thanks a lot mayne

    daaaaaaaaaaaa!!

  • thanks mate

  • Yes! I'm glad to see this video... cuz you have the exact same record player my dad has. I've been trying to get it to work... the only problem is that it doesn't spin. everything seems to be working fine. I looked at the belt and it's some orange sticky material and there's one small fragment/part that broke off. I kind of stuck the part back to it but I don't really see how that small part could make it not spin. so do you know how I could get it to spin? It's really bugging me. thanks!

  • thanx man....

  • i managed to replace the belt, BUT.... after the record turns about 5 times the gears seem to lock up and catch on something and stop moving causing the internal workings to make loud popping sounds every rotation eventually leading to the record skipping and myself freaking out. what could be causing this? thanks

  • Thanks so much for this vid you have helped us work out how to set up our turntable,

  • You are very welcome
