  • Thanks. It does make a nice dense fabric which should work well with a strong (even rough) yarn for making a carryall.

  • I Love your video! thank you for making the fabric , other vids show just a small example of what the pattern is leaving us to wonder what the stitch would look like as a fabric . The great thing about your tutorial... (there are many nice factors of course ) The great thing is how dense the fabric is or how the fabric will behave which for me is perfect for the bag i want to make so i can carry my yarn in when i travel. so thanks again. We love you. God bless you.

  • Thanks for writing. I hope I can help others learn some basic stitches and techniques so they can create some great projects to use and wear.

  • Thank you so very much. You taught me the slip stitch!

  • well. for some reason, the slip stitch confused me, as i did not know where to put the hook. i saw somewhere saying to put the hook in the back loop. is that correct, or just another way to do the slip stitch? thanks for this video!!!!

  • @bjbear5103 It's just another way to do the slip stitch. There are 3 loops to use - the top loop, the bottom loop and the back loop. The top and back loop are usually used for the first row. Then they switch to the top 2 loops of the stitch previously made for following rows.

  • @tanisgalik In addition, you can choose to use the back loop in the first row so it will create a double-chain edge which is often used in many patterns (using any crochet stitch) to create a double-chain edge along the bottom edge. This way it will match the top edge - as in crocheting a scarf. Working a finishing row around the scarf is not necessary because both edges will match and look finished as is.

  • I have been crocheting for a little over a month now and recently I got a book from the library to try to learn some new stitches. ... needless to say i needed a visual tool. This video was so easy to follow and actually made it easier for me to finish off a row and begin a new one. The book does this confusing step where i had to " turn the piece. Insert your hook through both loops at the first stitch from the previous row." WHAT? a simple single chain works perfectly. TY
