  • 2 axles in 1 night. dang. you need some better axles. good run though.

  • I want to make our 3000gt this fast and pull up next to a corvette or mustang at a stoplight... XD

  • No the light is not broken, but in fact it only has two lights to meet the track regulations. And as you can see it is a straight up strip car, the whole car is gutted. I wish i could get my stealth to run 8s. Good run man!

  • Comment removed

  • Amazing runs! That car is sex on wheels

  • You are all over that track like a drunk chicken.

  • What exhaust is that

  • @Elkhunter6c

    what exhaust? lol

  • That was awesome

  • Why won't this guy fix his brake light?

  • Im selling my 91 for some weight loss pills...call me 218-310-3523...

  • and broke 2 lights

  • and broke a light

  • This "icon98" guy is an oblivious jackass. Its all about building, racing till it wins or breaks, then coming back the next event to see if you cant go faster and do it all over again. People who actually live the lifestyle know about this. Congrats Matt, heard you were in the low 8's now!!! Keep it up! 3/S for life!!!

  • Not in one of these cars, nope. Reading comprehension son. And hi, call me Kris Kringle.

  • @icon98 There was no "driver error". You're seeing things.

  • can you get someone who can drive to drive the car please?

  • @icon98 LoL! So manually clutching and shifting a 5-speed tranny to an 8 second pass (and making it live) isn't good enough? You have no basis for your comment.

  • @buffhomer really? looks to me like the axel broke the 2nd time around due to driver error not excessive torque. because thats the point in the video i posted my comment. if thats not a basis im not sure what is, its not difficult to simultaneously shift while holding the steering wheel straight, or is that to much to ask for someone driving a car that has clearly had 50k+ dropped into the engine well? (obviously not into the suspension....)

  • @icon98 Yeah really. Maybe you're watching a different video or something. Unless you have manually clutched and shifted an 8 second car--with AWD no less--you have no ground to comment on Matt's driving or how easy it is to "shift while holding the wheel straight". Nevermind the fact that he's taken it from the 11s, to the 10s, then 9s and then 8s, always rowing the gears himself. But he can't drive? Please.

I read these comments and it's amazing some of the crap that gets posted.

  • @buffhomer your own comment reveals that this 'matt' had no experience driving a car like this either, clearly it took him a ridiculous amount of tries to get this sort of performance out of a p.o.s. like that stealth...(broke the other axel!) in other words, he had no experience and learned through trial and error. having someone who could ALREADY drive the car would have saved you alot of time and money making this video.

  • @icon98 How in the world do you come to the conclusions you do? Honestly? I just said he took it from the 10s down to the 8s; he ran multiple clean 9 second passes before finally cracking the 8 second zone. Plus, no one in the WORLD had any experience driving one of these that fast because it had never been done before! The broken axles were supposed aftermarket bad boy *upgrades* that turned out to not be worth the boxes they were shipped in, thus switching back to stockers! Get a clue.

  • @buffhomer no one has ever made an 8 second pass? really? this is the first ever? is your name also santa claus?

  • @buffhomer dont worry, watch the videos the icon98 guy posted, he's just some kid that probably drove his dad's Sebring and watched Vin Diesel in the F&F series, good job to Matt and all the people that put together the car, we're putting together a VR4 right now so we're in the same boat, can't imagine the extensive work that went into building that thing.

  • I think you need wider tires.

  • I wish you were in ohio i would love to have you help make my stock 94 twin a little quicker.GREAT CAR!!!

  • Holy shit that things quick

  • i mistooken a mitsubishi gt3000 in my neighborhood for that

  • @gta4rulesass that's because the stealth is the american version of a 3000gt

  • Great ride I have a 94 twin but it does't go that fast!

  • W/E the next car was that rev'd at around 2:01 sounded like some real muscle. Although I still love Dodge none the less.

  • Id rather see the car at 2:01

  • Does your right tailight ever work?

  • i own a 3000gt/dodge stealth but i was wondering how offten does the motor go ? i bought mine and next day motor blew of course ive had a new put in but not sure if i want to turbo it up and build it if the motors aint that strong just wanted to ask someone who has put in the time and sure has seen the worst and the best sides of these cars thanks

  • @theVertguy1990 The motors are actually quite strong. Just keep up on your oil changes and regular maintenance intervals and it will last a long time. I know of a few guys running 600hp to the wheels on stock internals with a good tune and they are running just fine. Actually the guy in the video has his own shop (Dynamic Racing) and is one of the highest respected guys in the 3000gt/ Dodge stealth world. He is always happy to answer anybody's questions. Also check out 3si.org

  • stop braking shit. (: hahaha

  • Thats Nuckin Futz

  • i just cant even understand. my "economy quick" celica runs low 14's. i really just cant even imagine. and i know the video doesnt do it justice. just not the same as in person

  • Very impressive. Dynamic Racing does a good job with all of their projects.

An R/T Stealth is fun to drive, but this looks like a rollercoaster!

  • tail lights out XD lol

    great job i love it!!!

  • @cfezuwm wow nice comment.

  • @cfezuwm your dumb

  • @MrJordanowski "your dumb" you're telling me i'm dumb when you don't know how to use proper grammar?? it's "you're dumb" you fucking retard. think before you speak. thanks for speaking for yourself.

  • @cfezuwm hmmm am I in school? no. Do I fucking care how i spell shit, On YOUTUBE? no. calm the fuck down and get a life. oh and looks like your comment was deleted cause YOUR DUMB. dick. Correct my grammer if you want, your still dumb

  • @MrJordanowski mmk. someone's angry. all i said was that its a shitty fucking car. which is the truth. and you had to chime in with your words of wisdom. what did you expect?

  • @cfezuwm lets see your GOD car beat it?

explain to all of uss how its a shitty car?

because obviously if it can run a 8 second 1/4 then its not shitty

  • i like how it pulls the 8 so effortlessly

  • how many horse power and ft ibs of torque?

  • @ballpython778899 well look up 3sx version of the car under the dyno, this one is faster so you figure it out. check out 3sx car, second fastest vr4 in the world.

  • I like how the driver does a double take (2:29) when the camera man says he did it at 165.

  • In every one of these videos, since 2006 with the first into the 10's video, this car has been trapping over 150mph, but it has never run a chute in the videos.... why is that?

  • @eeeen321

He never needed a shoot w/ those Wilwood brakes. You don't have to rely on gimmicks to slow down or perform better.

  • @skater334 Gimmick? How is that a "Gimmick"???????? ?????????????

........ there are rules at many tracks that REQUIRE them after a certain trap speed, most common I have personally seen/heard enforced is at 150mph...... but thanks for your knowledgeable and polite response.

  • 165?! HOLY SHIT!

    Haha awesome car.

  • brake light out, no rear spoiler?

  • @khdude2000 I could be wrong but I'd be willing to bet since there is only one headlight and one tail light that they were taken out to save a tiny bit of weight.

  • fast car ..

  • Just a question. Why do so many drag cars have one tail light out?

  • i just got a 95 rt/tt stealth. all wheel drive and all wheel steering. new intake and exhuast. plus i just put in two 12 inch mtx subs and rockford amp yesterday. THATS BEAST!!!!!!!!!

  • @topps15 niice!

  • @topps15 If you have a 95 RT/TT you don't have AWS. Dodge dropped that after 94.

  • wat turbos are u useing?

  • @upuhrs

I believe he uses whats called DR-1300's

  • @HARDNADER Hey douche that is a DODGE, it's not an import dumb fuck. Yeah it's mitsubishi parts but the car is still American. And plus who care who the fuck makes the car if it's fast it's fast.

  • @rextuner03

Technically it IS an Import. Its a rebadged 3000GT, and ALL Dodge Stealths were built in Japan and imported into the US. Not a single stealth, nor a single part in them, was made in the USA. They were built when Chrysler first started collaborating with Mitsu around ~1990, right around the time the DSMs were built (Mitsu Eclipse, Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser, which btw, were ALL built in the USA). This means a DSM eclipse is less of an import than a Stealth.

  • @TTViperGTS learn something new everyday lol. I knew there was a part of the car that was imported but none the less they were some bad ass cars. I wish they would bring stuff like this back. TTV6 with AWD and AWS that is just awesome.

  • @rextuner03 uhhh, broski you might wanna check your information again.

  • @HARDNADER wow. nice comment.

  • The Dodge Stealth was going to be huge but no one bought it. Dodge always had a habit of crunching numbers and crushing the good models....

  • i own a 95 r/t turbo stock 14 lbs turbo. id love to put in more..but not the amount this guy has. he might as well make that a straight drag car. i wonder what kind of hp hes getting?

  • LMAO!!! People think thats an american car? hahahhaha!

  • it is.... it just shared the same platform as the 3000gt... everything else is american

  • @vonfred54 Uh, no. It was built in Japan.

  • @vonfred54 nothing on that car is american. go to a used car dealer or something and look at every badge on the car (even the glasses or the built date on the b pillar when you open the door on driver side and you will see it says built in japan).they are 3000gt with different body panel and made by Mitsubishi in japan everything is made in japan.not even a bolt is american.

  • @mehrshadvr4 mitsubishi builds them all, but it was designed by daimler and mitsubishi

  • @dhillskier75 it was not designed by Daimler. where did you get that from?

  • @mehrshadvr4 it was a joint design. Back in the 90's, the two companies shared a lot of technology, a lot of daimlers cars carried mitsubishi engines, we have a plymouth voyager with a mitsubishi engine in it for example. that's why dodge had its own copy of the car, along with eagle talon and plymouth laser variants of the eclipse.

  • @dhillskier75 This car has nothing to do with Daimler. Stop thinking that it does.

  • @x2xtreme360 you are trying to say that the stealth/3000gt project was completely mitsubishi, along with eclipse/talon/laser?

  • @dhillskier75 The Eclipse, Talon and laser were not 100% Mitsubishi... this is precisely why they are labeled DSM's.

The 3000GT and Stealth's were ALL produced in Japan by Mitsubishi. Dodge had absolutely nothing to do with the production of these cars aside from a couple of body parts.

Daimler Chrysler had absolutely 0% to do with the production of both cars.

I'm an owner of two 3000GTs and have been for about 4 years now. I'm not saying I know everything about the platform, but quite a bit.

  • @dhillskier75 Daimler Chrysler was from 1998-2007 so when theses car's were produced, Daimler had nothing to do with them besides 1998+1999.

  • hes got to be running 80 lbs of boost, thats crazy fast!!

  • YEAH!! Love it.

    "You did it in 165!"

    "165??!!"

    "165!!"

    "HOLY SHIT!!!"

And FIX YOUR BRAKE LIGHTS!!!!! GYAAAAAH!HHH!!!!

Love seeing these cars run. If i were going to own a 90's Japanese supercar this would probably be it.

  • thats a dodge stealth not a 3000 gt

  • PutzkiSniper,

What is the difference between the two, except for the badge and the few plastic exterior panels?

  • american> import

  • PutzkiSniper ,

The last thing I remember was that the American car companies bankrupted and not the import ones... This should tell you something.

  • cause ppl want them lil gas saving 2000 pond 90 hp car, other than aveo idk what america makes for that

  • PutzkiSniper,

Not only gas saving, but also more reliable and less expensive. Actually, this trend began way before the oil crisis...

  • @PutzkiSniper - That is an Import you dumbass

  • alright hoss

  • This isn't gonna pass inspection ;-)

  • I need some info in getting my 92 stealth RT TT running good again its got tik tik tik =[ and i dont know anyone around here brave enough to work on it for a good price

  • The ticking might be lifter tick.

Does the ticking get louder when you rev the engine, or no?

If it doesn't, it's lifter tick and it's nothing to really worry about.. If it does get louder, you spun a bearing, and you're SOL.

  • Matt Monet who owns Dynamic Racing in New Mexico really is an expert when it comes to the Dodge Stealth. His site has been really helpful in dealing with my 92 RT/TT Stealth.

  • naa!! 3sx has pictures of all the parts and better prices ;D

  • outstanding work.

Would love to see you run this over here in the UK . There are some fools out there who can't even believe there own eyes, but things are changing LOL

  • Awesome !! Please keep up the outstanding work.

  • haha, i read someone below thought these were stock tires... stockies would most likely evaporate at anything over 140mph. but holy shit, this is ridiculous. congrats on a fast-ass car

  • im looking into buying a stealth, is there any parts sites you guys know of that is good on parts? lol i love how the stock axles hold up better than the aftermarket. my AWD DSM did the same with durablue axles. i blew em on the first two runs then i swapped them for stock and it ran 10's lol

  • Dynamic Racing com

  • damn even awd that thing has a hard time hooking up

  • Too much horsepower. ;)

  • nah just needs some better tires they are stock tires

  • 26x9.5" SLICKS are not stock tires.

  • You are an idiot if you think he is running stock tires.

  • :o) You think he's getting 166mph and 8's on stock tyres? That must be one hell of a 4wd set up. lol

  • The track prep seems like it really sucks. Anything near by that offers NHRA like atmosphere?

  • The track prep is fine, he broke 2 axles because of it.

  • How much boost is it running?

  • I think this is the same car that was on Passtime. If it is - it's running something like 30 pounds boost.

  • Comment removed

  • 38psi

  • 31psi of boos on these runs.

Car has now run 8.74@168mph on 35psi of boost but having allot of traction problems

  • @buffhomer no it's because the drive shaft shop's axles were junk.they were weaker than the factory axles.

  • All the power in the world wont break axles if it wont hook up. Also you won't run 8's.

  • they could've been rusted or alot of sutff you never know..

  • The guy who said this is a bad comment must know little about vehicular dynamics. Take a car with a hypothetical 5000 horsepower and nail the throttle on ice. You might break something but it wont be an axle, and you sure as hell wont run a fast time.

Sorry man but go to school.

  • thats one nasty sounding stealth, love the car ready to finish mine

  • I love the driver's response when he hears the 165. Well done, one of my fav 3/s's

  • Brutal viscous power...I LOVE IT

  • I watch this video everyday. It gives me inspiration to make my 92 3000gt VR4 that fast!

  • at 2 min tht car is just loud I bet its not near as fast as tht stealth

  • Yeah but even if you get it halfway there you'll be grinning all the time.

  • congratulations

  • HAHA Screw the stealth lmao give me the car that makes the noise at 2:00 Fuckin Sweet !!! :)

  • You can have that slug

  • sweet car....does that have plexiglass windows? lol

  • I own a 93 stealth and they are absolutely ridiculous, dodge/ mitsubishi needs to bring these 3s cars back

  • Another freakin awesome job!! Matt, you are bad ass.. Keep it up!! As said before coolest cousin ever.. lol

  • thats fucktastic!!!!!!!!!

  • "165?! Holy shit thats great"

  • Sweet run...very nice.

  • good job matt...keep pumping out the slips

  • wow, those axles sound like they were complete bullshit, tell me what kind they are so i don't buy them

  • u gotta remember, thats prolly 1000+hp at the wheels put thru slicks on a prepped track. there is not traction loss whatsoever, so there is a lot of strain on the drivetrain, on a road on street tries that prolly woulnt happen.

  • Those were DSS axles that broke, and the Stock 15+ yr old axles held up for the 8 second passes.

  • WTF? you can't be serious...lol that's a joke...maybe the evo or sti, but not the srt 4...you hardly see them around, maybe a modded neon lmao...The VR4 will always be better than the SRT4

  • SRT4's are nothing to a VR4/Stealth.

This car is sick! I wanna go buy a Stealth now! =D

  • SRT4 will never hit 8's thats for sure.

  • I too saw the car on passtime. I was funny as the contestants had no clue how fast the car was and were quite surprised.

  • this car was on PassTime on the speed channel

    it was sick

  • wow thats a fucking beast

  • i own a 93 stealth rt. i love it man, best car i hope they make more of thoose

  • they stopped making them in 95, they cant make more unless they do some big come back in the future, my father owns a 92 and had a 91 couple years back

  • 96 was last yr.

  • once again, i cannot stress to these srt4 neon kids that the stealth was the best import/domestic car dodge/mitsu has ever made. lets hope for another generation of stealths in the future.

  • oh man! you are so right man haha...i use to own a stealth r/t and i loved it...it was easily the best...the str4 is shit compared to the stealth

  • i wouldnt say that, the srt4 has been the biggest contributor to bring turbo cars back on the market.

  • go play in traffic

  • you have no idea what you're talking about

  • agreed.

  • Keep dreaming buddy...

  • Well if you are talking to me, and it's about the axles. Seeing how it's my car with me driving it, I installed the DSS axles that broke, we put back in stock axles and ran 8's.

  • yeah i seen it on passtime too thats what made me look up the vid sweet car man

  • sweet ride i saw it on passtime yesterday!

  • why did you choose the 1st gen stealth?

  • imagine the look u would get from the cocky guys in vettes and cobras when they seen u launch like that. its about time i see a Vr4/stealth in the 9's.congrats

  • Man, i can't get enough of watching that video, i watch it over and over and over again....

and over again..speaking of the tail light, who cares, its a track car, u only need one tail light

  • I can't wait for my VR4 next year! Within 2 years I should have stage 5 turbo upgrade from Dynamic Racing. I feel sorry for all the stangs ,camaros and vetts here.

  • Good luck on your used vr4. They are a bitch to maintain. Have plenty of funds backed up along with another back up car just in case anything happens to the vr4. All around vr4 is a nice car but a damn bitch to maintain.

  • Yourtube = moron.

  • On the contrary.

  • yes I was referring to 3sx. sorrie.

  • congrats! its about time we got into the 8's! lol

  • excuse me not T1, video says T2

  • Dynamic racing does not have any T cars... Thats 3sx...

  • 3k gt*

  • And I just talked to 3sx, they said it will be awhile before they do another run cause they havent touched the car in awhile, maybe in the summer. Their T1 fastest ek gt fwd car wont be on the drag strip any time soon until another fwd 3kgt beats 3sx time. their t1 car runs very low 10's.

  • HOLY SHIT TRIPLE SNOWMANS, 888

See theses cars has more potential then people can possible dream of. although a tough car to maintain. Incredible run. Excellent work. A+

  • an axle or a cv joint?

  • 300M Axle BARS broke.

  • Holy shit. Why were the DSS in there in the first place then? Just to keep strength up or weight down?

  • 300M Axle BARS broke, the CV joint it's self was fine, the bar's broke.

  • Way to go Dynamic!

  • That is awsome! finally in the 8's! I wonder if 3SX is going to dip into the 8's this year with there drag car? You are like the John Shepard of the 3/S world lol

  • i want an in-car view!
