The officer explained that they received civilian complaints and thus was required to enforce the ordinance. He brought a ruler to appropriately check the distance. @hastinbe I disagree. It would be one thing if somebody was parked in the middle of the street, but you saw the measurement they took, how ridiculously close it was. There comes a point where ruthlessly enforcing every technicality of the law does not serve the better interests of the general public. In the very least, they could have issued warnings first.

As a life long resident of the city of Rochester, I find it infuriating that the police NEVER SHOW UP many times when they are called for REAL problems always claiming they lack "manpower", yet they suddenly have many officers and many cars available for this petty retaliation. A few years ago m y neighbor was jumped and beaten with a baseball bat. Over a 40 minute period 20 or so calls were made to 911 and the police NEVER showed, yet they have time for racially biased traffic stops.

As a life long resident of the city of Rochester, I find it infuriating that the police NEVER SHOW UP many times when they are called for REAL problems always claiming they lack "manpower", yet they suddenly have many officers and many cars available for this petty retaliation. A few years ago m y neighbor was jumped and beaten with a baseball bat. Over a 40 minute period 20 or so calls were made to 911 and the police NEVER showed, yet they have time for racially biased traffic stops.

Your neighborhood is a bunch of idiots. I hope one of you gets in some kind of trouble and really need the police's help. At that point I hope one of the cops shows up with a ruler and issues more parking tickets.

The police asked her to go inside or back away. All she had to do was back away with her camera. You suburban warriors need to find something better to do before something actually serious happens.

@TheCharlieWinchester She stood up for her rights. The police officer was paranoid of the camera and being filmed. He had no right to manipulate the rules/law by stating he "didn't feel safe", which we all know was a lie, including you, and then ordering her to go into her home. That was so much BS!! If a police officer politely asks you to lean over and kiss your own ass, should you do it?? Point is, at what point do you as a citizen say no, I don't have to do that, police officer or not?

@TheCharlieWinchester Furthermore, these police officers giving out tickets for 12 inches from the curb is BS too, and you know that as well. It's just in retaliation of these citizens supporting Emily Good. The sad part is, is that all these police officers are doing is digging themselves and their department in deeper in terms of respect, or lack thereof. I look at them and think, wow, what a bunch of childish cry babies giving out tickets like that because they are sore over this.

@hille103 Where the hell do you live buddy?I think i already do live in a 3rd world country,if this is only job our troops have available to them as returning vets.it's pretty sad that every man who signed the declaration of independence would be doing life in prison by today's standards.Ask a cop if he's a officer of the law,or a peace officer...And I bet you will never hear officer of the peace come out of their mouth.
