  • Beautiful!

I recently learned Summer Glau herself choose the music!

  • This was one of my favorite scenes for this show. Thanks for sharing!

  • I cry watching this. Just saying.

  • For someone who hasn't danced in 10 years, Summer is superb! And her extension! I'm teaching this to myself, and I can't do the développe écarte devant as well as her, and I'm a dancer currently!

  • @DaSarge92 -- Terminators have no emotion. Even though she is advanced, she only learns by listening watching, and hearing. Terminators can can emulate emotion, even copy it, but it won't be true. Take for instance, in Terminator 2 when the T-1000 was talking to John on the phone when john wanted to warn his step-parents. Jeannine was acting WIERD (because she's never that nice to John at all!) This is where they get it wrong. They can't emulate it right if they don't know how they act.

  • @TimNP61278 The question you should be asking yourself is - What is the difference between the perfect simulation of humanity and humanity itself. Do androids dream of electric sheep? (that's one for your reading list)

  • Derek wants to kill it with fire.

  • THATS RIVERS AAHHHHH i didnt recognize her. i feel creeped out now for some reason

  • the piano piece is Chopin's Nocturne in C sharp minor

  • What's the name of that piano song?

  • @reeka411 because she had joined a ballet studio to get information on a man they were tracking down, because the man's sister ran the studio. She had to fit into the studio students so she learned.

  • I dont kno

  • Reeka14@ how can i khon

  • "it can't be reasoned with, it can't be bargained with. It feels no pity or remorse, and it will not stop until you are dead." or until it takes up ballet

  • @franklyso

Or learns cheesy slang and how to give high-fives...

  • could she be anymore perfect *melts*

  • Summer Glau moves her body in such a graceful, artful way, it's like poetry in motion. Once seen - never forgotten.

  • What show was this and where can i watch it?

  • @jjbebekill

    its called "sarah connor chronicles"

  • @jjbebekill you will either have to buy it, but I do recomend to just download it of from a pirate website lol.

    the piratebay org perhaps?

  • @gloriakenny

I recommend buying things whenever you can afford it. If something isn't profitable, it won't get made. Buying things is the best way of supporting TV shows (or movies, or musicians, or writers...).

  • @EuphrasieF problem is, fox is a multimillionaire corporation that will not continue the terminator series... therefore there is no point on paying them anything :))

  • @gloriakenny

I'm not under the impression that they'll resurrect the show, but it does help to show them (Fox/WB) that there's a market for good shows and may influence programming decisions in the future.

  • @socaldude i agree this show had a lot of sensitivity

  • Comment removed

  • Ya, this was a pretty smart show, so I know why it didn't last. People wanted to see shit blow up every week, but this wasn't like that.

  • wow.

  • i love u robotwoman

  • @QueenOfTheSnakeSS cybernetic organism

  • @tnykuuh You took the words right out of my mouth

  • Stupid question: Why was he all teary at the end of the vid? I have a few ideas but I don't think they're right.

  • @vyxtouch Cameron(Summer Glau) is a terminator, a robot. Derek pretty much hate all robots, even if they are working for the cause of humans. He's a big believer that robots will never be able to be like humans and act like them. Seeing Cameron dance the ballet as beautiful as a human being made him either wonder if he was wrong or fear that they(the robots) might take the place of humans someday. (that's my opinion of course)

  • whats the name of this piano piece?

  • @chew915 chopin - nocturne c# minor (op. posthum)

  • Save the Sarah Connnor Chronicles!Go to savesarahconnor website and keep sending emails to Fox and WB!

  • @Polly7733 Do you even know if any of the original people are able to or still interested in resurrecting the show? I mean, Summer Glau already has a new show debuting on NBC called The Cape. I love the Sarah Connor Chronicles dearly, but sometimes I think it's time to move on... But then the Browncoat in me whispers the word "Serenity," and I go all activist again.

  • @therockindtb FOX needs to find some people to run things that have a little common sense. Firefly, then TSCC, someone should have been shot for those cancellations.

  • I am hypnotized

  • does anyone please know the name of the song? it's doin my nut in! i need to know asap. i've looked but...nothin. thanks all.

    PEACE

  • @MrWhizzpop

Chopin nocturne in c sharp minor.

  • @losingmypatience thank you very much!

    PEACE

  • see is soooooooooo HOTTTTTT

  • Can anyone tell me what episode this is from? I need the entire clip of Sarah's monologue. I want to use it for a presentation on the importance of human beings.

  • @Msjrward the episode is "the demon hand" from season 1

  • God, I love watching her dance! She's so expressive with her movements!

  • This was my favorite moment in the series. The look on his face is so intense.

  • "oh i do believe

in all the things you see"

    SUCH A HUGE CRUSH!!!!

    or.... <3

  • He sure lost out when he went for a slut like Megan Fox instead of Summer Glau for sure.

  • Beautiful, she is 26/7 when she danced this piece. Her incredible flexibility is stunning.

  • Y Love you Summer !!!

  • That's so beautiful and sad. The robot Cameron is take the face of Alison ...I think she was his sister.

  • I don't suppose you'd mind posting the rest of the monologue?

  • what episode is this from ?

  • This scene is just that more intense if you know what happened to the woman who taught her ballet. =[

Brian Austin Green's acting in here is also very deep, his conflict multi-layered, given what his character has been through in the machine-governed future.

  • On behalf of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, savethescc(com) is aiming to make an impact at the San Diego ComicCon 2010, where over a hundred thousand fans of genre television, as well as major networks and media will be gathering this July.

  • why the fuck would a terminator know ballet

  • @muddykipz

    Watch the episode.

  • wtf why did u disable the embed code

  • @SReeder088> wft don't u have ne manners

  • @Austin4a

    wtf does wtf mean !

  • @SReeder088 Right click on the video and select "Copy embed HTML"

  • This is so beautiful...

  • Everybody knows people dance the "robot", but robots dance the "human" : )

  • beautiful

  • She's so beautiful *-*'

  • season 3 please]

  • Could she be anymore impressive?

  • Derek Reese is watching in awe and disgust cause he knows what she is and what she has done in the future and why John Conner(Future) chooses to be close to her.

  • i ahevnm't finished the series yet cos its only staring season 2 in australia..

but why is derek in disgust when cameron is good (besides the seaon 2 pilot) and john chooses to be with her?

  • Cameron seems to be closer to John in 2027 than anyone else, as she is one of the few to have regular contact with him. Jesse comments that Future John refuses to talk with anyone other than Cameron, and that he has cut himself off from all those around him.

  • Rumors also tell that Cameron is influencing John's military decisions, resulting in highly dangerous tactics and the deaths of many soldiers. Given that Allison Young, Cameron's human template, was close to John in the future, it is unclear how he views her replacement.

  • so cameron looks like allison young?? ok!!

    thx

  • she is the best

  • i guess that would have been confusing to see a terminator dance, but i guess cameron (the girl the terminator is based on) must have had a past as a dancer, and she drew on that, but who knows...

  • Me gusta esta escena!! Cameron es más que expresión, a pesar de ser un robot sabe que ser humana seria diferente!

    Deberia haber una tercera temporada.

  • Somebody knows who played this piece of piano?

    Help me !!

    I love it!!

  • Nocturne n.20 in C # minor by Chopin

  • May be. Stefan de Jong - Nocturne Opus Posthume

  • @ZzVickizZ Its by Chopin! Nocturne 20 in C sharp Minor :) You can look it up at youtube ;)

  • @Paislee1991 Thanks you so much!! this music is beautiful and I love it!! this is perfect combination of feelings

  • On T3, after Dyson's death, it fell into the hands of Robert Brewster the head of United States Air Force's Cyber Research Systems. In the future he is John's father-inlaw because he is married to his daughter Katherine, whom John met back in JR high while Sarah was locked up at the mental hospital.

  • yeah i would be quite confused to see a robot built to destroy and protect dance so humanly, very well...

  • She is the best.

Wish i looked like that haha.

  • Just beautiful, just beautiful:=)

  • Brian Austin Green's expression at the end took what otherwise would have been just an interesting capper and turned it into one of the best moments of the series.

  • @therockindtb exactly what I was thinking. completely true, and well put.

  • @therockindtb Yes this ending is very well choreographed. Stylish and artistic! Well done, Brian and Summer.

  • @therockindtb > AGREED! :)

  • Lost or won...? To me, the whole point of the series is that Skynet can't be "stopped"...Someone will build it. But it could be given an ability to appreciate Humanity. If Cameron can find the ability to appreciate ballet, perhaps some or all the machines can achieve an understanding of human value.

  • agreed. this is why the writers decided to give terminators the ability to "choose", as we saw in that submarine mission episode. there are terminators that chose to go against their programming given to them by skynet

  • Me, too.

  • This is my favorite sequence in all of the series.

  • yeah but can she do the robot?

  • That's pretty funny. :)

  • If id be standing there id be asking what else she could do more and then showed her some michael jackson moves so she can do them.

  • name of the song?

  • yeah ,is this chopin?

  • yes chopin and the song is calles nocturna on d string 20

  • This is a very powerful scene, because when the days that machines can do this and act like humans like this, then what? All will be lost

  • Dont care^^ I need one of those^^

  • Just got a message from HalfGreyNotaMan:

"HalfGreyHalfMan has sent you a message:

    sheesh

no, idiot. Summer is a lot nicer than I am."

  • one day this will come to pass machine will come of age to think for them self. then what then..

  • She's such a graceful dancer!

  • Does anyone know which season + episode is this awesome dancing from ?

  • Don't get this wrong, idiots.

I'm glad she's got a chance to do some work that she wants to do. I know how hard some of the characters she plays are on her. I'll go so far as to say if you dislike Ms. Glau then you dislike me.

PS: If I get one msg asking me if I'm Summer I'm going to turn off Youtube for 6 months.

  • I don't understand you comment.

Did I miss the main point?

  • Holy sh!t .. are you Summer?

  • I like her watching as a terminator

  • @ beantna .. Yes I am obsessed wth Summer Glau. She's attractive and can dance beautifully. Got a problem with that?

  • I don't think you thought this through. The scene here shows that the robots are adapting and adopting human traits. They were already doing it in T2 and it's hardly dumb.

  • Yeah, it's not like this scene raises any philosophical questions about the real differences between artificial intelligence and "true" intelligence... I mean, it was all about a girl dancing, not the idea of art being a purely human ideal.

  • You apparently have no appreciation for the arts. I imagine you only consider it "dancing" if it involves a pole and stilletto heels.

  • Incredible. Every time I watch it. I really wish TSCC had been MARKETED as a show with depth and intriguing characters rather than just as an action show.

  • That's a real stretchy endoskeleton ;P

She absolutely is a great dancer, kind of sad she got injured and couldn't continue her dancing career, but hey, good for us, we get to see a lot more of Summer's quality's this way.

  • I think it was at the end of season one finale.

  • One of my favourite moments of the show.

Love how terrified Dereck is by what hes seeing, all the stuff he has seen in his life and that scares him. That Terminators, Cameron especially, are more than just mindless killing machines.

More human-like than he ever thought.

  • Don't think so, If you watch closely you can see that she's all metal in some of her fight scenes.

  • Is she like Marcus, human and machine?

  • it's a mistery

  • This is art, astounding for a sci fi series

  • I love Summer. She's both an amazing actress and an even better dancer

  • que hermosa , parece un cisne

  • I was reluctant to watch TTSCC! I thought it would be an MTV generation shoot em up running ad for Marine recruitment ! I was wrong though it is a beautiful piece of work ! I love the stories ,the relationships and how the back strories are constructed . it's beautiful hopefully somebody will come to their senses and realise that it is worth punting on season 3 .

Effing brilliant stuff...,.my fave episode is where Camerons wigs out and has flashbacks thinking she's Alison young .

  • This ballet reminds me of Michelle Aenlle's ballet and Meari Matsuyama in her Meari X Real DVD(she is a a gymnast and ballet dancer too) and Marlits Burgos. But I like the time loop scene where he sees himself as a child playing while eating ice cream. But terrible with illuminati plans of depopulation with the symbolism of the robots as them. They should be the ones who must become extinct and obsolete with their crimes but then dont be like them.==Theme Song="I Like Chopin" by Gazeebo=tbc=....

  • i loved this scene. so beautiful and complex.

  • That was probably my favorite scene in the entire series.

    RIP TSCC!

  • derek is crying because the machine in cameron is turning more and more human and blending in which to him means the end of the world again and that scares the shit outta him.

  • wrong

  • at the end derek is like wtf

  • Summer Glau is a trained ballerina, a prima ballerina, the highest ranking. I'm glad the producers included this storyline.

  • I hope they renew the show for Season 3

  • fantastic fantastic scene. Summer - thank you for sharing that.

  • Answer me this..

Is that the same song that is playing in the basement of the building where Derek and Andy Goode are chained to the floor in the future? They never show us what is in the basement. Just the music.

  • same song. we never explicitly see what happened in the basement but it's implied in a conversation after cameron rescues derek that he gave up john connor's bunker through torture. the same music and the fact that derek immediately recognizes cameron as a machine in the future in a season one shows that it was cameron who was the one torturing him.

  • yep thats right, thats why hes crying when he sees her dancing. the director used dance and music to say it instead of using words about what happened in that basement. beautiful work i must say

  • what kinda song is this??

  • chopin nocturne in c sharp minor

  • She probably dances like this for John all the time. No wonder John went to the future to get her chip back. =)

  • i loved this scene cuz its one where summer glau could actually be her real self... its beautiful,

  • It's a cool clip, in context.

  • summer rocks!

  • Simply, the best scene so far. Not only the choreography, but the idea of a possibility that a machine can appreciate art (not only mimic it). Derek's face. In his eyes, you can see the inner conflict with himself when he has never seen a machine behaving like that. You could even say that this idea or view scares him more than a possible extinction of humanity. Furthermore, since the scene is so prolonged, you could say he is questioning if humans are higher than machines...

  • According to director comments on DVD, Derek thinks.. "Do the machines take over and then live like us?"

  • I think Skynet acting in its own Preservation would remove or prevent all human traits. It wouldn't allow for freedom of choice or intrests. This would keep the Cyborgs easy to control.

I think the things Cameron does are due to her hacked programe. My thoughts are she was given a human ability to choose not to kill john. And the freedom of choice was all it took to change her entirely. I think this is how she can lie, disobey and why she has curiosity.

She also asks alot of questions

  • Cameron is in fact an enigma! Sometimes it seems she´s trying to control John, but other times she seems to be highly dependent on him having a connection that we humans call love, but being a robot is dependence! No one knows why the John of the future sent Cameron to our present, but I think it was to influence the present John sooner! Or Cameron lost the control of the future john and then went to our present to win control of john = not probable!

When Season 3 starts? I´m dying for it!

  • Very good observations. Thankz!

  • unfortunately some dickheads at fox decided to cancel TSCC and keep dollhouse instead. R.I.P

    no more Jameron....kmt.

  • It´s a shame! Well, let´s burn FOX?

kiding...It´s not the first time that FOX screws up like this! Even worst was with the Firefly serie! FOX should try to maintain series till the end, instead of breaking them halfway!

  • i know...Fox has done this twice to Summer Glau now. I'm just praying SciFi picks it up. plus i heard Summer may be the new Lara Croft, so fingers crossed.

  • Wow, that would be so cool!

  • I think the director and choreography fight scenes with cameron are just following the same stupid track they did with Arnie and TX in T3. Unlike T2 where there was an extremely perfect balance of SFX and real time stunts, it lost it's edge... Only Jim Cameron could pull that off!!!

  • Beautiful !

  • I wonder what Derek thinks of Cameron.. he looks so sad when hes watching her dance.

  • Probably analysing and re-evaluating his prejudism towards the terminator itself.

  • in allison from palmdale is revealed that her human template likes chpin, any coincidence? i'll like to see this scene developing more in next chapters

  • She is very sexy, and I like very much her films!

  • That's one lethal machine with a subtlety

  • A very beautiful girl and a very beautiful dance.

  • Thank feck someone invented the piano, or we'd still be stuck with the harpsichord!

    Great scene btw

  • I sure hope not. I look forward to new episodes. And to seeing Summer.

  • this damn show is gonna get cancelled. It showed so much potential.

  • me too

  • She also played a ballerina in the Angel episode 'waiting in the wings'. She's really talented.

  • us=a bug

    them=mobo+cpu+ram...well, you know...
