  • DopeMusic!!!! haha Q-tip look cute @ 0:28

  • Too real

  • I think I hear "With a Little Luck" by WINGS in here as a sample. Hmm...?

  • is there a stylophone solo in this? XD

  • anyone know what samples were used in this track? I know jean jaque perry eva was used but what else

  • @spatulathegreat the mahavishnu orchestra - miles beyond

  • I love this song so much!!

  • There are very few groups in hip hop that truly can't be duplicated and I would put Tribe at the top of the list. Single best Rap Group of all time in my opinion when you combine, Lyrics, Beats, Content, and how the mesh with each other.

Id pay $100 an album just to have these guys come back and take back the rap game.

  • @Fit4life5111 hah id match that $100 =]

  • i subbed ya man

  • the thing i love most about underground hip hop is its just music, rappers now a days do too much with their voices or their samples and it sounds over done. i cant relate to none of them, im not a millionaire and i go to school everyday, im a simple a guy, this is simple music, this is what i like

  • Masters of ceremony

  • crooklyn dodgers

  • At 2:16, the words are "It's the Abstract motivator makin things clear." Please fix that...lol

  • its all in the samples.

  • wish i coulda live thru all this, sucks i had to be born when great shit ended -.-

  • @CrouchTookIt What goes around comes back around again mate. Lets hope for an old school revival :)

  • this song was on the movie booty call.this song come on when jamie fox was driving tha taxi cab.

  • @spriels516 Seen.. will have to watch again bless...

  • Fat beat, good lyrics, killer flow. Amazing =)

  • this is on the men in black soundtrack. this shit it tight

  • it just proves that music is not controled by the people. I know people still want real hip hop. No need to diss soulja toy nor lil winey, dont buy their shit. they suck and they know it, no way they can think much of themselves after listerning to something like this.

  • there will never be another group like atcq

  • @mrpostman609 never man no one can top this ever mad flow, fresh beats and killer rhymes they are the best and always will be.

  • Just amazing for the kids listening 2 atcq its awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • word up Q-tip.

  • 3:55 = What I wish more people would do for Hip-Hop

  • No Doubt. I Gotchu

  • this has gotta be a jay dee jam

  • @insidejerk i feel you ya dig

  • @insidejerk Nope, don't see "J.Yancey" under the credits.

  • @steeltownbrown52 yeah listening to this again its def a mr muhammad maybe an umah production

  • @insidejerk Of-course it's Ummah. Just those guys did most of their work separate. I think the purpose for Ummah was to save money so the label wouldn't drain more bucks out of Tribe's pocket. I'm surprised at your response tho, I was expecting that you'd be one of those stubborn Dilla fans that think it's Dilla on production no matter what.LOL

  • @steeltownbrown52 lol yeah im no internet thug for sure, thats interesting about umah cuz alot of times i listen to a beat and wonder how much of it is dilla and how much is ali shaheed

  • @insidejerk true that, i think i know what was Tip. But with Dilla and Ali its kinda difficult. Maybe the drums you can tell, but one thing i know was Ali was no joke, he did Brown Sugar, We Run Things and the Lucy Pearl stuff.

  • @TheSinghFIRE that lucy pearl stuff is crazy. yeah i have a jay dee drum kit with this snare

  • @insidejerk the HHS one?

  • @TheSinghFIRE not sure its pretty much all i use besides breaks

  • @insidejerk i don't suppose you have a link for that? lol

  • Why is this on the Men and Black soundtrack? I can't remember it in the film or the credits.

  • i have a boner

  • dope moter vader of a track! lol

  • nice!!

  • i'm blazin like blanka

  • What album is this song from? I though i'd heard all tribes stuff

  • It was released on A Tribe Called Quest's Jam EP and the Men In Black soundtrack. I don't know which came first though.

  • Hip hop these days can't even come close to match Tribe

  • these days hip hop isn't about the average guy it's about bullshit from one guy

  • damn, why they are so underrated? shit is classic, pure hiphop!

  • @marselus88 They arn't under rated at all man, they are constantly regarded as one of the greatest hiphop groups ever. Under listened perhaps..!

  • @AllyBaba92 yes indeed

  • @marselus88 they're not underrated at all, just not that talked about because they haven't made new material in years

  • @marselus88 underrated? they are one of the most notorious hip hop groups ever. They get the respect they deserve i reckon

  • @graveey yes mate, but you misunderstood, they were and still are underrated, people should listen more to the classics like this one but they don't, only real hiphop heads knows whats diggin. right? let's play this shit to nowadays "homies" and you will see. peace bro, one luv

  • @graveey I agree with you Graveey

  • heard

  • Dopeeeeeee:D

  • oh my god. why havent i heard this b4. acee!

  • probably coz it's on Men in Black album..

De La also has a trax on it: chanel fever

that beat made me luv ATCQ!! Miss those golden days...

  • i just knock my head all day - this shit so cool

even there not well known stuff is good!

im liking this track - 1st time i herd it

  • I'd say they're pretty well fuckin known.

  • im talking bout the song not ATCQ you gumby

  • damn! u been missin out!! who doesnt know who tribe called quest is theyre legends!

  • gino1's got it straight.. i like seeing the thumb ups too!

i have much faith in the spirit of hiphop

  • damn!! this song is good

what album is this off of

  • Men in Black soundtrack, check out De La's track also called Channel No. Fever

  • Wow! thx for that...never heard that De L;a joint..Hot! Hot! Hot!~

  • siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick!

  • yo yo yo yo check my style aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah dope style :D

  • this is one of my favourite tracks. why do they have to be so good, i can't stop listening man..

  • tip didn't stop rhyming 4 the whole track

  • Omg, it makes me so happy to read all the awesome comments people leave on every Tribe video! So reassuring to know that people still know what it's like to live real hip-hop.

  • @Gin01 not sure why anyone would have to be reassured or told what music they like and is good.........If i liked listening to this and everyone else hated it it wouldnt matter....if i like 1 50 cent or lil wayne song and i come to these comments where people bash them openly im still going to like that song.....dont let anyone tell you what is "good" and what isnt

  • this is tru hip hop, too bad cats dont feel the real beats tru mc's use to drop, ATCQ forever mad props, being able to hear these tracks is a blessin, outta respect ima light on up n have a chilled out session, everyone burn one down at 4:20 to respect this song like it was minus 9 seconds.

  • @Ruest420, I just bought an eighth for 35$ that was 4.20gs :D

I love life, tribe and WEEEEEEEED

  • @gusterk haha MY MAN... smoke one for me

  • This Is From The 1997 Soundtrack Of "Men In Black" & Tribe's 2003 Greatest Hits Album Entitled "Hits, Rarities, & Remixes.

  • Every one can rap. But not everyone can make good HipHop. Tribe's the bench mark.

  • Hip-Hop is safe man. No worries.

  • cannot belive I never heard this. amazing.

    ATCQ 4 life.

  • yo the beat to 1:04 is awsome

  • This was on the Jam Ep single brilliant track, it would have been cool if it was on beats, rhymes and life.

  • dillaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • DILLLLLA

  • @ab0181 No doubt but DILLLLLLA didn't do this cut. One thing you'll notice about Ummah production is each track would say which ones were produced by Dilla by being labeled as "J. Yancey".

  • @steeltownbrown52 just looked at the wax...and you're right, my bad. didn't look that close before. dilla musta been in the room tho when they made that...lol

  • Miles Beyond by the Mahavishnu Orchestra is the sample, mental buzz.

  • The Tribe representin' real hip hop as it was meant to be heard. Nas was right, hip hop IS dead... they don't do it like this anymore. It's a shame... maybe the Lonely Island can stir a resurrection...?

  • purification comes from talent.May the voice of the earth bless this crew

  • ahhh, real, musical hip hop. This is what we need instead of all the bling bling, money money, talentless bullshit that passes for hip hop these days.

  • fucking.......tune!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is a bloody tune!

  • ooooh i loveee this :)

  • AHAHA MEN IN BLACK SOUNDTRACK!!!!!

  • same here!

  • one of my favs but i agree, PHIFE needs to spit

  • i wish this would be released in this actual time. it would blow away all this blingshit.

  • The Beat,The Rhymes,The Flow

    Its Incredible.Simple.

  • fucking tune.

  • give me a mic a beat and a goddam intention to write a sick verse and i'll save hip hop

  • Phife should've kicked a verse.

  • Awesome song! Some true old school shit right here.

  • This song was number ten on the MIB soundtrack, their flow is sooo good

  • I'll help you save Hip Hop! What can I do?

  • Think this song was hidden on Men In Black soundtrack?

  • please Lord have merci. this is just tooo sick. my favourite rap track of all time always will be GOD BLESS

  • this song was lost in the back of my mind for so long.

i used to hear this all the time growin` up.

like when my momz broke out the two sided mixtapes.

    i love this song ♥

  • OMG why have I never heard this song before? and I call myself a Tribe Fan :(

    I LOVE THIS ^_^

  • Man, my buddy put the rarities and remixes album on yesterday and this came on it was driving me crazy where i knew it from, my old ass MIB tape.

  • Aaaah one of my first hiphop songs, and i'm so proud it's one of the triiiibe!

  • this song is gonna be in my top 10 for shur

  • Man, this brings back old memories. I remember lisening to this song on the Men in Black sound track when I was 8 years old, after hearing that it changed my life!! It introduced my to Snoop Dog, De La Soul, Nas, and of couse A Tribe Called Ques, and Jazz. Still to this day I have that album on tape and still play it, and I still listen to those guys and jazz music.

  • Same thing here haha!

    Nice album that one...

  • Thanks!!

  • My heart is with A Tribe Called Quest FOREVER!

  • Did pete rock produce this? The beat sounds similar to the instrumental "Fairground" from his album "Surviving Elements from Soul Survivor Sessions".

  • It does sound like a Pete Rock beat.

  • sounds like ali shaheed to me.

  • they both sound alike

  • is it motor vader, or motivator?

  • very ill video!!

"EH YO, HIP HOP IS LIVE LIKE A WIRE, LET'S GET A LITTLE BIT BEFORE THE WHOLE JOINT EXPIRE!"

  • my favorite tcq track

  • 1 first favorite comment and rating

    go me haha
