  • i wish it was also on pc

  • You don't only get Lost in Nightmares with the DLC. You get the Mercs reunion, and two additional characters. Not really much to bitch about for $5

  • @undeadgamer00 Its mainly because I (and many others who I know) were expecting it to be longer because we cared more about the mission itself then mercs which is wicked easy now for some reason.

  • @dididiiproductions No, I agree with you somewhat. I'm a big RE fan, and was a little disappointed at the length of this DLC; but I can't really complain for $5. I still really enjoyed playing it. I just hope that RE6 goes back to classic Resident Evl; no more of this action shooter bullshit, and parasites >.<

  • @undeadgamer00 I do agree that i do sound a bit too whiny, but i knew that this was getting practically immaculate praise from some fans, so i felt i should focus on the negatives, plus i literally just finished so i was influenced by my dissappointment

  • I think that zombies weren't included in this chapter because (if I'm not mistaken) it happened after resident evil 4, where zombies were kinda... obsolete, yknow what I mean? It would have been a little awkward to go back to standard zombies, eh?

  • in the mansion there's a lot of checkpoints but nothing happens. only two(?) types of enemy and it's too short. Conclusion: ultimate disappointing. :(

    I prefer Desperate Escape.

  • took me 2hours an a half hours on proffesional

  • no co-op?

  • my opinon is that 'lost in nightmares is everything RE5 should of been. yes it is short..very.. but it brings back what made resident evil 2/3 excellent (puzzles, FEAR, been scared to go throught the next door to see whats behind it. and the fact you can have the old style fixed camera angle like in 1,2,3 made the game feel like RE1 with updated graphics rateing? 4/5 because its just too short but love the old style camera angle

  • pls stop whining, this is a lost chapter in the game, there were originally 9 chapters which makes 3 removed chapters total, hence the shortness of RE5; Lost In Nightmares, Desperate Escape & ? It was awesome in my opinion better than Desperate Escape which is flat out crazy.

  • Nice ad on and worth the $4.99 price. Old school Resident Evil. Desperate Escape isn't too bad either but I noticed they made the chainsaw dudes weaker, lol.

  • for some reason i agree with your review the most out of anyone elses; except the puzzles were a bit bland, i agree with what u said about there being barely any enemies and also there were only two types of enemies which kind of sucked, and that its super short like u said

  • so i guess this could be a perfect example for "Son, I am Disappoint".

  • @DoomFan2010 what do you mean?

  • @dididiiproductions well u were clearly upset at how little was put into this. just saying. it was my observation, i just simplified your reaction...kinda.

  • :o, ok. I thought you meant, something else

  • haha naw man.

  • yeah. i agree. i think that was a test in order to see if players would like to see the old resident evil with the new system. kinda stupid question, don't you think???

  • so you say first this is a shit of a product and then you say at the end that its preatty good.... dude make up your mind

  • It wasn't that good in a sense that from the months of hype its had its really not worth it, is it good? yes. Should you buy it? probably if you're a fan. Was it worth the hype? HEEELLL no

  • it took my like 20mins to assignment ada. that must be short

  • it is short but i found it very replayable, similar to the original re5 story mode and mercenaries. I dunno, playing with different people kinda makes its different, but that might be just me.

Some good nostalgia, information given by documents about spencer, and "alex"(might be laying the ground work for re6 hint-hint),replayable, I got no complaints about this

  • I give this DLC a 10/10 because it took me back to the old days of me running around in the older games.

I'd most definantly recommend this DLC!!

Ps: Wesker is a bastard -.-...

  • i agree that it should have been longer but it took me and my friend like 2 hours, but we were kinda messing around and mesing up, and i was reading all the files, but it was awesome, it felt a lot like the old REs and was a blast to play.

  • Holy fuck 35 mins? It should be at least 5 hours lol

  • Like most of the other people said, this is a DLC and it's FIVE BUCKS, what did you expect?!

What i liked about the DLC is there's great nostalgia value and the graphics seemed better.

There's also that old school camera view trick you can do by talking to the first door.

What i didn't like was the fact that there was less then a dozen of enemies, big let down.

    Good overall score, 7/10

  • Are you sure when you said that this game was shorter than Assignment Ada? Assignment Ada was pretty short, do you mean Separate Ways?

  • Dude you are being extremly harsh on this game for the price of the dlc it is extremy good value and playing with friends just increases the fun also what about the new mercenraies mode

  • you are the worst person who has ever reviewed a game...it's a DLC for $5 so stop complaining loser

  • Im not complaining, its a good dlc, I just feel like for something that was 4+ months in the making it should be longer than 30 minutes, is it good? yes, Should you buy it? If you're a fan hell yes. Should it have been longer? Most definately.

  • @dididiiproductions well for $5 I think it's fine but hey at least Capcom didn't make us by a whole new game like super street fighter 4

  • first i played it on amateur and then on veteran... i realy regret it because on veteran you will sometimes be realy scared, but i've already played it on amateur and know what was going to happen... IF YOU BOUGHT BUT DID'NT PLAYED IT YET..... DO IT ON VETERAN!!!!!

  • 30 minutes?? this guy played on amature. not even worth my time to hear this bitch's review.

I did it on veteran, took me about 2 hours and 10 minutes. Not bad considering i read every little note there was and REALLY admired the detail in the main hall. spent about 12-15 minutes literually running around in that area. and again I spent time in the dinning room as well.

it was only a chapter. LOL

  • I did it on Professional in probably an hour or less. Just by running passed the Guardians. I find it terrible that you can actually just skip them all. They are just in the way basically, no need to actually fight.

Sorry for wasting your time, if I am.

  • You're a liar. Simple.

  • Veteran dude, 35 minutes on veteran hell i got 19 minutes on amateur. Im not bragging i would have played it on pro first but it was not unlocked, pro is the best way to play it.

  • Stop lying. If you didn't record it then it didn't happen.

But now if you go back you can get 20 minutes i'm sure, these are called speed runs. You didn't hit 20 minutes on your first try on veteran. Thats bullshit.

I'll believe you the day you beat me in versus. I'll player kill you until the cows come home and still manage to keep a 100+ combo.

  • @Fade2Dark Ok, Why are you so hostile? I beat it on veteran in 35 not twenty, do you really think id lie just to say something bad about a game in a review? I was looking forward to it too but it was short, if you didn't beat it that fast and find it hard to believe than fine, whatever im not bragging, thats just the time i got.

  • @dididiiproductions First off i didn't say it was impossible to do it in 10 minutes, those are called speed runs. Nobody does this in 10 minutes on their first try.

Second im pissed off cuz you're lying and don't know what you're talking about. You compared this to assignment ada, There was really nothing new about assignment ada. It was a mission done using the same environment saw in the original RE4. This is clearly brand new material.

  • @Fade2Dark I know that its brand new material, im just comparing it to assignment ada for something similar. Really answer me this, why would I lie about its length, or how long it took me to beat it on a first try just for a REVIEW?

  • @dididiiproductions You're under estimating the time. this is equivalent to a lie.

"You also called this shit of a product" 5 dollars for "40 minutes" of your time+mercenaries=shit of a product.

yeaaaah. you must not make much money to bitch about a loss of 5 dollars. To be honest I would have paid 10 for it.

For its low price it should have gotten a much better review.

    "shit of a product"....

  • @Fade2Dark Don't harp on me because you disagree, you can disagree but you don't have to be a douche bag about it. Besides, you never even answered my question. WHY WOULD I LIE? WHAT IS THE POINT IN ME LYING? WHAT POSSIBLE MOTIVES WOULD I HAVE FOR LYING? WHERE THE FUCK IS YOU'RE ARGUMENT COMING FROM?

  • @dididiiproductions I did answer your question, you're too much of a block head to have paid attention to what I told you.

I clearly stated that you didn't lie deleberately, you estimated wrong, and for that you equivalent to a liar.

  • @dididiiproductions you shouldn't be reviewing games, stick to what you're good at - Nothing.

  • @dididiiproductions I promise you the chapter could have been 4x longer if they used previous environment from RE5.

Would that have made you happy? running through public assembly with chris and jill collecting samples? lol.

  • for 5 dollars, you've received at least 40 minutes of game experience. that equates to 60 dollars being around 8 hours of game experience, which is quickly becoming the standard for game campaigns. yes, the dlc is short, but you're going to play it more than once, just like all other re5 levels. for the price you pay, it's a justifiable purchase, and the quality of the experience is equal to that of all the other re5 missions, so it's worth your money if you want more re5 like i do.

  • I liked it professional mode is plain out torture. When I played this I had the same old RE feeling. They need to do the same for RE6

  • I just beat the game in 1 hour and 15 minutes and it was really cool, it had that old resident evil feel and there were plenty of OH SHIT moments. I wish they could made the game longer at least 3 hours, made the mansion bigger, more enemies and a better ending, the ending was pretty dissapointing for me. But still a really nostalgic resident evil game, and for 5 bucks its worth it. 8.5 out of 10

  • I loved most of it except the part that you lose all your and health items and i was hoping it to be a little bit longer and with more enemies but i got to admit that i got scared in some parts...

  • Idk what people were expecting

its better than the assassins creed 2 dlc cause there's achievements/trophies to make you play more than once

  • it was fun...

took me an hour and 20 minutes to complete it

  • @Ramen551 bullshit. what did you play it on? amature? ROFL

  • Its really not that long. 1. get a crank(7-15 min) 2. get to the sewers (about 10 min) 3. defeat 4 gaurdians with traps(10-15 min) 4. fight wesker(5 minutes max)

  • @dididiiproductions Yes i know, but you obviously didn't beat it in 30 minutes on YOUR first try. Not too mention i played online with a frienn the first time, as where you played on solo, means the computer did everything for you, basically.

  • @Fade2Dark you're right, first try was 45 minutes, second on a higher difficulty was 35. Its not that hard to believe, just check youtube, theres someone else whos beaten it in less than 10 minutes.

  • PS3 OWNERS lost in nightmares is 413 mb and is 5$ the costume pack is 116 kb and is 2$

  • i have it on ps3 it took me about 40 minutes true there were very few enemies but it was extremely intense it felt so much like resident evil 1 if you play mercenaries reunion and buy the costume pack its pretty good if you savor it overall it for me was a 7.8

  • how big is the download on PSN?

  • "it's short." What were you expecting?! 10 hours? It's $5 for 2 hours. The main game was $60 for 8 hours of lots of zombie killing and next to nothing in puzzles. Plus it's way better than the main game's story mode.

  • Well, maybe it was two hours for you, i played through it on veteran in 35 minutes, which even for five dollars I would expect a little more.

  • @dididiiproductions No shit i aint even gonna buy it looks like it sucked

  • @dididiiproductions honestly resident evil 5 in general kinda sucked probably the worst resident evil part except for that outbreak 1 and 2 i liked 2 for some odd reason

  • wat console do you hsve this for?

  • ps3

  • Oh one more thing. Barry does use his kick ass revolver, but he will only use it for execution moves. I think its actually kinda funny. He knows that his revolver is so bad ass that he only uses it if he needs to lol. The name of the execution move is "miranda rights" and it can be performed when an enemy is lying on the ground. Oh he also can perform a head bash with the base of his gun from behind and enemy while they are kneeling. Oh and the greatest execution move is the "BARRY SANDWHICH"

  • Oh also if you didn't know if you try to open the front door to the mansion a couple of times you will get a question mark. When the question mark appears try to open the door again and the camera will change from the 3rd person over the shoulder style to the old school resident evil style from RE1. You can play the entire mansion part of the DLC with this camera style and It is fucking awsome ^_^

  • Comment removed

  • I thought the DLC was awsome. Yeah it is short but come on it's only 5 bucks. I played it on co-op with a friend and took my time enjoying it. It took me 1 hour and 20 mins to beat the game but thats because i was reading all the journal entries, memo's and all the other index shit. What I loved about it is how nostalgic the DLC was. The game really pays tribute to the 1st Resident Evil. I do agree that they should of been more enemies. One enemy type was really lame but overall i liked it.

  • aww whatever I'll buy it anyways. I'll do whatever to go back to the mansion. I play it on pro because and so good at it. But yeah I'm already dissapointed thats too short and I haven't even bought it yet, but whatever.

  • lol when re5 came out i got 1000 gamerscore then the next day the versus came out and a bunch of new achievements

  • It's $5,what you expect in content? It was also warned that it was short in any article. It's very good for what's its worth

  • (Cont) - I played RE:1 on my PSP a few weeks ago so it's still fresh in my head, and as I was playing through the DLC, the rooms, hell even the door loading (No 6 seconds door wait! :D) - But it's a great trip down memory lane.

Must-buy for any RE:1 fan. Fans that never played 1 won't get the same experience of "Holy shit...dude...Remember this?" and then automatically getting on edge.

    I'd give it a 8/10. 5 Bucks for Unlocking 2 Chars, Kick-ass 45-minutes-ish of gameplay, I liked it.

  • Take RE:1 and clusterfuck it with RE:5. Basically that = the DLC. Playing it on the first time was actually a shit-ton of fun, but it did feel short. Me and my friend looked at each other when out of nowhere Wesker was standing there and were like "Wait - What?"

However - it is extremely suspenseful at times, and on Professional, you need a partner. You will not make it with the bot. You. Need. A. Partner.

If you played and loved RE:1, you're disgracing yourself by not downloading this.

  • I didn't mind LiN, it had potential but it was a bit short, the boss fight was Epic Fail though lol

  • The boss fight is more fun if you try to get the trophy (which it doesn't seem to encourage) but yeah it is otherwise a preety weak fight.

  • I ran up to him and punched him, then it ended lol, I thought it would have been harder because I did it on Veteran, im gonna try n get the trophies tomorrow :)
