I'll say this much, I don't see what you mean about the whole women thing and it being a problem...unless you're getting at the fact MadTV made fun of the iPod, thought it sounded like Pad and made a comedy sketch out of it and they still kept the name.

eitherway, it isn't a tablet. Tablet is like tablet pc. iSlate would work better, but Pad is so similar to Pod, a name that is already so well known, they thought it was marketable im sure.
