the word rapture is from the latin if you remember the bible was translated from latin because the catholic church had control of it. but if you want to not use words that are not in the translated bible then the word bible is not in there eather nor is the word demon and a whole host of word. trust me when i say that the doctrine of the rapture is real and if you call your self a minister you should search it out before you preach it
The word "rapture" is not in the bible...this is true. Yet go back hundreds of years to a Hebrew language, and the word JESUS is not in the scriptures. either. Yeshuwa, or pronounced YESH U WAH is in the bible, the greek and the hebrew.. The word Millineium is not in the bible, but is is a word we use to describe the 1000 year reign. The western and United States culture of how the Bible should be interpeted is flawed by the lack of knowledge Americans have regarding the nation of Israel
The rapture is taken out of context, somehow you get the idea that Christ will reign on earth for 1,000 years. Here is my argument
Christ is already reigning, in Heaven and on Earth, and he's not even on Earth....he is at the right hand of God (Biblical)....1,000 years = Apocalyptic for FOREVER...the KINGDOM SHALL STAND FOREVER, the Kingdom is already established (BIBLICAL)....& the Bible says Jesus is coming in the clouds, nothing about descending to Earth (BIBLICAL).....look it up

The rapture is most certainly a biblical doctrine. The word 'rapture' comes from the Latin; in 1Thes.4:17 it is the word for 'caught up'. Although the word itself is not found in our English translations, it is indeed what can be properly exegeted from the text itself. To say that, "the word is not in the Bible" is a bad argument. For one can say that the word 'Trinity' is not in the Scriptures either. Does that mean it's not a biblical doctrine? Of course not.
Rapture? Your god has not had a single success yet. He made perfect angels. He made perfect humans on a perfect earth. He had a perfect son. And ALL of them end up tortured and dead. He ends up with a few thousand buddies to lay around paradise with for ever while ALL the rest are destroyed or tortured for eternity. Has there ever been a bigger loser? Ever? And you are banking that THIS time, this one last time, God is gonna hit the ball out of the park for you? Good luck with that!
it the says the LORD'S DAY will come back like a thirf in the night. that is later on it goes to say he comes like a theif, because no one will expect it but he will come back and when he does, we will know it
thank you for assuming that i have not ever read the story about the bridegrooms. but i have read it.. multiple time but thanks again.
tha parable does not give a hint aboput sneakingus away without anyone noticing. or jesus coming back with no one noticing.
that story is talking about the end times and the return of jesus, yes, BUT it is talking about being prepaired for his arrival and being ready for him to accept us in as his bridegroom.
that is not an assumption because the bible clearly tell us that no one know the day or the hour. therfore, no one will know when he will show up. everyone will know it because he is litteraly coming back and the trumpet will be blown and the angels will cry out and come with him.
VISIBLE AND AUDIBLE.
so again, that is not an assumption. that is what the bible says
study some more. tehre are too many holes in your theory.
you don't have enough evidence for a pre trib rapture.
He will come as a thief in the night in regards to timing - the time is unknown. But when that time arrives every will know the time has come to stand before the judgment seat of Christ. You're trying to take two elements of his coming and make them contradictory. There is nothing contradictory about coming at an unknown time but then announcing to all when the time has arrived.
And your trying to make something contradictory, your trying to make 1 daY of something thats is actually 2 days.
Look...im not gonna debate it ,ive said what i had to say,if u still dont believe it...then one of us is not guided by the spirit...the spirit doesnt tell u something else then he tells me if its the same spirit.
Is the beleve that the antichrist will rule the last years on earth an evil doctrine?
The word antichrist is nowhere in the bible, yet we all know he is coming.
the word antichrist is not in the bible either- look in the greek and latin- if you had a latin bible, you would actually find the word rapture in the bible
sir, I do not believe in a pre-tribulation rapture either, but it's counter-productive to stress that the word 'rapture' is not in the bible, because in essence (and that's what really matters) it's certainly there (1 thes 4:17). otherwise if you're stressing that you can't find the word 'rapture', you're ultimately enabling the pre-tribbers to equivocate.
People, The Rapture doctrine is a man-made tradition, not going to happen. There is far more proof of a return of the Anti-Christ (Satan). We will be here for it, you will not fly away. Study harder, your eternal life depends on it.
I believe in a Rapture of the church, but don't when it occurs timeline wise...
1 Thess 4:17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
John 14:2 I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
Rapture = "caught up" and "take you to be with me"
I would never say someone is going to hell based on their view of the endtimes. God has only given us pieces of the puzzle & none of knows how it is going to play out exactly.
Matthew 24:36 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
We are encouraged to come and reason together (discuss with a willingness to humbly understand each other) but debates ALWAYS lead to arguements, anger and is not usually peaceable but provokes. I'm not against discussion but I think debating His Word is wrong for that is NOT what the purpose for His Word is. God bless.
Your description of debate is absolutely NOT what I am interested in. My only goal is to reason together regarding the truth of the Scriptures for the benefit of all who hear our discussion, mine included. If a debate (public discussion) is conducted properly is should never be characterized as angry or contentious. I think if you watch my discussion with Dane you will see how I conduct myself in discussions with people who I think want to honestly study the Bible with me.
If you'd be interested..my channel has a video explaining the belief in the rapture (Rapture Before Tribulation by AbaloneKid) it's in my top favorites. Might help you to understand where those of us who believe in this are coing from so to speak. I'm sure Abalone would love to talk with you about the rapture...He's a great guy as I'm sure you are also. God bless and have a wonderful evening!
2Timothy 3:16...it doesn't say that it is profitable to debate the Word of God. I personally believe in the pretribulation rapture by the example not by the lack of the specific english translation of the word rapture (harpazo). There will always be differences in understanding His Word because none of us see clearly at the moment until we see Him. The word trinity isn't printed but testified of as 3 personages of God. So I humbly agree to disagree. Let God be true and every man (us) a liar.
Just wanted to let everyone know that I have been in contact with Scott Dryer and he has said that he would come to appear on the Bible Q-n-A program to debate the Rapture. We haven't worked out the particulars yet but we hope to get everything worked out without the next couple of weeks.
I think preacher Norm failed reading comprehension.

-to anyone who thinks they can prove the rapture doctrine -
This almost suggests, that the uploader of this vid,can prove his doctrine that there is no rapture.
My statement is that neither doctrines can be proven.
We need the Holy Spirit to settle this matter. We cant do it by reading alone.

Well i disagree...I think its an direct reference to the rapture.
I take it u also dont believe the story about the 10 bridegirls(dont know the englisch word) is an direct refference to the rapture by Jesus Christ??
Look I dont feel like arguing today...i was just curious what the answer would be.
1 thing though...
Your assuming - He comes like a theif, because no one wil expect it -
U cant prove this talks about the day of the Lord and not about the rapture.
Assumption.
