Having looked at this again, I just wonder if it might be due to diffraction. This happens when a pin-point of light is out of focus. This pin-point of light might be a planet or speck of something reflecting sunlight or (as in this case) a UPOL, an unidentified pinpoint of light (to coin an acronym). The naked-eye description accompanying the photo doesn't correspond with what is captured on film because the photographer saw only tiny lights and had to zoom in to get the image shown.
A picture isn't always worth a thousand words. It's always POSSIBLE to fake something like this, but this bit of footage has the ring of authenticity. These lightforms (called 'earthlights' by Paul Devereux) undoubedly do exist and have extraordinary properties, among which is the apparent ability to interact with human consciousness. At one stage this particular object is said to have moved 'like a pendulum'. Is this the same as the 'falling leaf' movement noted in many UFO reports?
Yes, Earthlights, some of these almost seem to be alive, sentient; is this in fact what all the covering-up and debunking by government shills, the church and various skeptics is about? that the truth about these lightforms is even MORE mind-blowing and damning than the ET hypothesis?...eg. the living earth...Gaia theory....intelligent orbs/spheres etc...superintendents /guardians/probes of the earth itself? crazy? the idea is no more outrageous than the ET proposal.
I see there it was raining, had a storm recently went by? This could be a rare event called ball lightning, a plasma ball which some how (people don't really know) appears during some heavy storms (and rarely out of no where). These mysterious balls of plasma have been seen in Airliners thousands of feet above the ground and passing through solid objects, freaky stuff.
I spend more time looking at the sky with my eyes than through my telescope. When I see something that I can't identify, I don't jump off a cliff screaming it's from some alien world!!!
I didn't say the witness used a telescope. He used a simple camera with a zoom lense, which causes the effect you are seeing here. So get over YOURSELF inexplicata! This is an out of focus point source of light, and not some mystery craft flying around the sky.
I see this same effect every time I take an image of Jupiter or Venus with my telescope. It's just an out of focus video of a planet. The shimmering light is disturbances in the atmosphere. You people should be ashamed for trying to pass this off as a UFO.
We say to astronomers who are viewing everything through a tiny eyepiece, try doing a proper skywatch as we do on a regular basis...in the field...use your eyes instead, you will be surprised at what you see...then wake up and stop living in denial all your life.
I have that video game. You should have used the laser beam to make it look more realistic.

There have been plenty...your local newspaper covered this one, though just checked and it looks like they took the story down...strange that eh?
Also, tap in ufo watton-norfolk-24th-may-2009 into your browser for a couple more.
