So it's not necessarily the same thing as an Enki-worshipper from ancient times.

The term simply refers to ANY religion calling itself "satanic," which acknowledges the existence of a god. This includes Devil-Worshipers and Reverse Christians. Is any of this belief logical or reasonable, or based in historical accuracy? Probably not, but there are people who believe in and practice this sort of thing.

Satan is a very loosely defined term, and reading the definition of it out of a book is not the final word. Even in Christianity/Islam/Judaism, REALISTICALLY, Satan is just a symbol/personification. They don't think so, but they believe in a magic man in the sky so I don't think their story book really gets the copyright to what God or Satan is.

I focus here on a generalization of a "Reverse Christian," which isn't so much about "spreading" evil, as it is allying itself with a higher power they find more agreeable to their interests. Maybe this means removing the punishement/reward system based on blind obedience. For some, it might even mean greater wealth or power in this life. But again, it would depend on which specific sect.

People come on. Good Vs. Evil styles of Religion has been around since the Babylonians wrote about Gilgamesh thousands of years ago. These so called, "I am my own God" just started 50 years ago. Laveyan's simply stole the religious concept of satan and called it their own. Go get your own religion and stop stealing from ours.
"Satan" means "Aversary, Opposer, Enemy." It is a title. The character Lucifer was given this title after his rebellion. Everything that goes against xtianity has been titled "Satanic." "Satanist" works the same way.
There are Satans in every religion. Demon worship is the inversion of xtian faith (worship/respect a higher being to save your soul!) It's reverse xtianity. Leaving one master just to be enslaved by another is not Satanic. Pride and suitheism is the most severe Satanic practice.
The other idiotic thing about theistic "satanism" is that it uses the same "good and evil" concept as christianity and just gives Lucifer the "good guy badge." It's just side-taking. Lucifer wasn't the all moral saviour of mankind. He did what Satanists do: Rebel out of his own selfish pride, not for anyone's salvation. As I understand it, there's The First Satanic Church, The Church of Satan, The Cathedral of the Black Goat, The Joy of Satan, The Temple of Set, The Order of Nine Angels, The Children of the Black Rose, The Church of Lucifer, and Brother Nero. Those are the ones I know of, which are all "loosely" grouped together under the umbrella-category "Satanism." The first two I mentioned are Laveyan, and for the most part atheistic. The rest are theistic, but the specifics range all over the place.

Yeah, I think LaVeyan Satanism is pretty much Theistic Satanism, but it also represents the worship of yourself as a God as well as Satan/Lucifer himself. Any way, a Satanist IS a Satanist, and Satanism is Satanism. The point I'm trying to make, any religion based on Satan/Lucifer is Satanism. Therefore, LaVeyan Satanism is more spiritually advanced. That makes perfect sense to ME.

Don't base your education off of half-ass 6 minute youtube videos... @SatansPath666 True, there are other beliefs and practices involved in Laveyanism, but most Laveyans I've met seem to be focused primarily on the rejection of what they perceive as conventional religion (i.e. Christianity), whereas other non-theistic religions (such as Scientology or Buddhism) have the primary focus on the things they do believe in, rather than what they don't. Again, that's just based on my experience.

@Renturd I see what you're saying, but obviously symbolism is going to go beyond the actual definition of the physical/literal thing itself. Satan is a very loosely defined term, and reading the definition of it out of a book is not the final word. Even in Christianity/Islam/Judaism, REALISTICALLY, Satan is just a symbol/personification. They don't think so, but they believe in a magic man in the sky so I don't think their story book really gets the copyright to what God or Satan is.

I focus here on a generalization of a "Reverse Christian," which isn't so much about "spreading" evil, as it is allying itself with a higher power they find more agreeable to their interests. Maybe this means removing the punishement/reward system based on blind obedience. For some, it might even mean greater wealth or power in this life. But again, it would depend on which specific sect.

"Satan" means "Aversary, Opposer, Enemy." It is a title. The character Lucifer was given this title after his rebellion. Everything that goes against xtianity has been titled "Satanic." "Satanist" works the same way.
There are Satans in every religion. Demon worship is the inversion of xtian faith (worship/respect a higher being to save your soul!) It's reverse xtianity. Leaving one master just to be enslaved by another is not Satanic. Pride and suitheism is the most severe Satanic practice.

The other idiotic thing about theistic "satanism" is that it uses the same "good and evil" concept as christianity and just gives Lucifer the "good guy badge." It's just side-taking. Lucifer wasn't the all moral saviour of mankind. He did what Satanists do: Rebel out of his own selfish pride, not for anyone's salvation. Exalting him as our god will just repeat the scenario all over again.
The true Satanist takes his own side and has no concept of good and evil just to deem himself "good".

However, if someone chooses to turn themselves over to a higher power (whether or not you agree with their reasons), choosing to worship Lucifer/Satan as a specific entity is just as valid as any other deity. So what else would you call them other than "Satanists?" I suppose it could be considered ironic to stay loyal to someone famous for disloyalty. But no more ironic than Christianity, a religion disturbingly similar to the Pharisees which Jesus rebelled against.

As I understand it, there's The First Satanic Church, The Church of Satan, The Cathedral of the Black Goat, The Joy of Satan, The Temple of Set, The Order of Nine Angels, The Children of the Black Rose, The Church of Lucifer, and Brother Nero. Those are the ones I know of, which are all "loosely" grouped together under the umbrella-category "Satanism." The first two I mentioned are Laveyan, and for the most part atheistic. The rest are theistic, but the specifics range all over the place.

Interesting perspective. :-) Although, to correct you, it's my understanding that we're in the Age of Picies (the precession of equinoxes moves in reverse to the annual zodiac). I may be mistaken, though.

RomanticCrusader...U with the Joy of Satan by any chance? Generally talking about he age of aquarius, Satan=Enki or Ea, kundalini yoga and chakra meditation it's a tell tell sign they're with the JOS. Just wonderin lol

I am from JOS, but I don't use the site anymore. The HP's have became mystical, less logical. Everything in our religion can be explained through logic and science, they seem to walk away from that.. They care more about mysticism than the truths nowadays..
And the site hides SO much information, and the overuse of "Satan" angers me.

Ahh, I'm an ex-JOS member myself so that's why I asked. I'm still on their website, but Maxine blocks roughly 50% of what I post because she doesn't like it lol. I'm honestly suprised I haven't been added to the ever growing "ban list" by now.
I agree though, it seems like at one point in time they may have had a point but the group has seriously devolved into nothing but a den for people to come and blame all the world's problems on the jews.

Absolutely correct. I don't even use the site anymore, I'd rather get the information from friends and demons. Much, much more reliable. She blocks ALL my posts nowadays, even if I reply to someone.. Maxine is.. weird now. >>

It must be frustrating, too, I guess. I mean, to know that the entity you worship can be totally p*wned by "very, very weak" little angels. Considering that the forces of Enki haven't taken over heaven yet.
But more seriously, do you believe Yahweh is trying to trick us? Was that Trinity (so he could enjoy the luxury of cruxifixion) a way take advantage of us? Do you have a website?
