Zimbabwean radio when I was young and didn't know that we were supposed to be different! Leave the haters in the dust and rock on! I was reminded of this song after I saw KHALID" VIDEO DIDI . AUDIO IS VERY EXCELLENT BUT VIDEO IS VER POOR .
This song is too beautiful! I didnt even know it was Algerian until today! I used to hear it on Zimbabwean radio when I was young and didn't know that we were supposed to be different! Leave the haters in the dust and rock on! I was reminded of this song after I saw Khaled in South Africa today!

Rai is born in Morocco where it was done for wedding. Algeria being less traditional (and having (due to french colozination) many musicians who can play western instruments (unlike Morocco), it was therefore easier for this music to developp there. Btw, I cannot prove it but I'M 1/2 algerian. I have always heard that since my childhood.
As I see you moroccans, you are still at it again!
Always trying to steal and take credit for what you don't account for.
And for the colonisation bit, believe you me,if your conspiracy like theory was right, moroccans would have been more geared up to introduce modern instruments to their music than the Algerians.Bear in mind the great european influence that prevailed in morocco have through a permanent state of colonisation:
In fine, just have a look around you, you'll notice that Rai music cannot be other than Algerian.
It is true that moroccans are trying their hardest to emulate and copy this type of Algerien music...but for no avail.....it's a complet utter failure.
It would've been known by now,if morocco has anything to offert...
Khaled is the singer's name, a native of Algeria. The style of music is called Rai and originated in Algeria.I am not sure what Didi means. It is perhaps a female name.
what exactly define rai then? Ive listened to this, and that other Rai NB fever stuff, and they dont really seem to carry similar styles. Rai NB fever is almost like north africas RNB, and it rocks btw!

I'm an algerian myself. If you knew your roots better, you will have known that latchitchi is a word in algiers dialect.
I"ve got problem with nobody. And what I say is said by algerian singers themself and no by racist ignorants.
Your nickname says enough about who you are.

Didi means 'take'...
When Khaled sings, he says ''you can take it all''..

Raï is North African not just Algerian.
zerox701 3 years ago
Oh, most definitely. Sorry if I came off as implying that it was restricted purely to Algeria. It is certainly a beautiful art form.
HorribleAesthete 3 years ago
Of course that Rai is exclusively Algerian by birth.
Now that some other nations are trying to follow the lead and copy it...it doesn't make it less Algerian for that matter.
