@TheTripleTip You can start simple by starting to use Game Maker. It's a great tool and much more useful than people think. Or maybe Unity. And if you aiming into programming then you can start learning a language like Python or something you like and then start making games. I also have video tutorials how you start programming games in C++. But for starters GameMaker is awesome.
@Greenadee I can say it is much better and more productive. At the start it was kinda hard to move from Visual Studio, so I used an IDE but now I can say that emacs is all you need. Overall, everything it is better.

Hope this helped. This code is probably quite hectic but it will work for a base, maybe.
@Greenadee I used Ubuntu as my first linux distro.
It's excellent for new users to get acquainted with basic linux commands. I recommend using Mint, it's based on Ubuntu but is "sleeker" and easier to navigate in my opinion. Linux in general comes with GCC and G++. It's great for programming!
hey iam going to get a codeing software to make websites and games should I use JavaScript orr do you have any other options ?

@RedReaper132 Thanks for the reply, however the mediafire link didn't work :(
I just download Ubuntu, and I gotta say I really enjoy it (Running off of a live CD, but thinking of installing).
But, for some reason I can't get xemacs ( i guess thats the gui you use? ) to run from the LiveCD :(
Nano works for now though :)

@Greenadee You have to remove the ( ) from the link, because YouTube doesn't let sending links.
As far as I remember I installed "emacs" not xemacs... don't remember quite. Maybe it doesn't work because you run LiveCD.

@RedReaper132 I did remove the ( ) but the link doesn't work.

@Greenadee I added the link to the video info. I should work 100% :D

What are your impressions of using Ubuntu over Windows for programming? And can you share the source? I think this would be useful to learn from.
