Well, it's highly unlikely any Shirou will become Archer anyway, out of the three known routes, Fate Shirou has the greatest chance since he is now alone and still determined to keep to his ideals. UBW Shirou has the middle chance, although thats incredibly low, since he has seen what Archer was, and Rin swore to Archer she would not let Shirou become him. HF Shirou has 0 chance completely, he threw away all of his ideals in order to soley protect Sakura, he is the anti of Archer's ideals.

Just being heroic is not enough. A heroic spirit is someone who is remembered by the world, someone about whom the legends and myths are built.
If shiro can reach that level of being known, he too would be stored in Throne of Heroes, although without the obligations to the counter-force archer had.

@vc180191 This pretty much. It actually creates the plothole of what exactly happens if an Emiya Shirou who met his own Future self also becomes a Heroic Spirit. Does it merge with the first one? Does it create an alternate EMIYA? Parallel time-lines can be quite confusing, especially since the very existence of Archer in Shirou's time already makes it a different timeline.
@LeonGun8 Btw, by merging with the first one I meant the first EMIYA that resides in the Throne, not the copy that the Grail summons. Obviously the actual Archer from the series will merely vanish after the war, which is why Heroic Spirits have no concrete memories after death and any pseudo memories are just records kept in the Throne of Heroes.

Actually...only UBW leads to shirou becoming archer. And HF has a higher chance than Fate of Shirou becoming archer as well considering he becomes a homunculus and isn't a human being anymore.

That's actually a matter of some debate. Other schools of thought suggest that Archer came from the "Mind of Steel" end from the Heaven's Feel route, and the end bonus scene with Taiga and Illya suggest he might have come from the Fate route true end.

He ends up as Archer once he makes a pact with Alaya ("humanity's will") and do an "impossible task" which goes against "fate".
Also, like I said: Archer is summoned every time, but let's say Shirou gets into a dead-end (Ex: Killed by Rider). How does he become a hero then?
It's a paradox, but in UBW it said that even such a paradox would not erase the existence of Archer, as he is "outside" the time axis, as he is a Counter Guardian.
well in UBW in the very end Emiya (archer) asks Rin to watch over his past self and stop him to make the same "mistake" like he did, and i feel a positive ending about it when Rin in the end convinces Shirou to go to England with her, well the past eventially leads to a future but the UBW route conclusion says "what is done that can not be changed (reference for that archer will remain as a guardian) but what is yet to come still can be changed (like Shirou maybe will evade to become Archer)"

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what a Visual Novel is and how many there are and what the names of them are for Fate. I recently finished the anime and if what I've been reading around youtube is true than I don't want to miss out on it, I tried searching for it but can't find it anywhere, I'm willing to buy it if it's required.
Visual Novel are like reading a manga while playing a video game, except choices you make can change the ending. The Fate series has 1 sequel /Hallow Ataraxia and 1 prequel /Zero.

Started out on 4chans /a/ board when somebody said "I'm gar for Archer" (instead of "gay for Archer) and spread. Little saying is that you are gay for "traps" and gar for badasses. Ansesutaa has it wrong and 90% of the people who use the term do as well.
That was part of the idea behind my re-mastering. UBW was easily my favorite arc in F/SN, so I wanted to see if I could give the video just a slightly more complete 'Summary' feel to it without taking away from all the great work the original creator put into it. I hope I succeeded ^_^

I dunno... I'm excited but I have my reservations about the director. He's not exactly the greatest and had churned some pretty mediocre stuff. I just hope he doesn't screw up the movie because honestly, UBW is very VERY good, just behind Heaven's Feel of course.

there, it kind of shows what happened in the unreleased ilya route, where true archer comes from, nasu, the man behind type-moon, says that every1 important to shirou dies in the holy grail war, and he completely pursues his super hero dream to prevent another tragedy and becomes Heroic Spirit EMIYA, but he get betrayed by the very people he saves, also what he does, doesnt fit his original ideal of a super hero

i know archer came from the ilya route but i never knew it would be this intense
and when the vid showed the part about archer regretting his choices to go down this path whatithought was
emyia asks him does he regrets his choice which makes him reject himself because he is telling himself that he was not wrong for going down this path even though he will get everything taken away from him it will just harden his resolve to become a super hero

That's actually a matter of some debate. Other schools of thought suggest that Archer came from the "Mind of Steel" end from the Heaven's Feel route, and the end bonus scene with Taiga and Illya suggest he might have come from the Fate route true end.

and in UBW he even saw his own end during his fight with himself
and plus archer is in every route so that tels you no matter what he will end up as a super hero no matter what route he takes

Archer is summoned even if Shirou reaches a dead-end.
But does that mean he became a hero?
Just because Archer exists, it does not mean Shirou will become Archer.
They say something like that in UBW route (Saber and Archer), and also at the very end of the game as well, with "possibilities" of Shirou becoming Archer.
Fate is highest "possibility", with Heaven's Feel = no chance.
UBW = in between Fate and HF. (Smaller "possibility")

yes he does become a hero because the past will always lead up to the future meaning
at some point in time he became archer becaused he followed his ideals
and in fate true we can see that shiro also became archer on his own through his ideals also but i still wonder how exactly did he end up as archer

He ends up as Archer once he makes a pact with Alaya ("humanity's will") and do an "impossible task" which goes against "fate".
Also, like I said: Archer is summoned every time, but let's say Shirou gets into a dead-end (Ex: Killed by Rider). How does he become a hero then?
It's a paradox, but in UBW it said that even such a paradox would not erase the existence of Archer, as he is "outside" the time axis, as he is a Counter Guardian.

well in UBW in the very end Emiya (archer) asks Rin to watch over his past self and stop him to make the same "mistake" like he did, and i feel a positive ending about it when Rin in the end convinces Shirou to go to England with her, well the past eventially leads to a future but the UBW route conclusion says "what is done that can not be changed (reference for that archer will remain as a guardian) but what is yet to come still can be changed (like Shirou maybe will evade to become Archer)"

or will he throw away his ideals and live a normal life with rin
but remember archer told rin that "rin dont worry im okay now" (something along those lines) and that he still has regret but he was not wrong so even if shrio follows archer ideals he will not be wrong

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what a Visual Novel is and how many there are and what the names of them are for Fate. Visual Novel are like reading a manga while playing a video game, except choices you make can change the ending. The Fate series has 1 sequel /Hallow Ataraxia and 1 prequel /Zero.
Try looking up MirrorMoon for translations.

Nice edit. Though I don't like the incereace in animated scenes(I mean the non-still picture scenes). Well you filled up some of the "resting scenes" and I think it was a good choice.

I love this video. Especially with Archer saying about how his own ideals betrayed him when he had nothing left but that. It proves there no such thing as a hero of justice as much as I hate to admit it. i used to beleive in the hero justice crap yet it betrayed me.

huh? Not even on mediafire which keeps download links forever? (well, unless the site dies) Unless your video is larger than 100MB which is their max size. You could avert that though by using a split ZIP/RAR/7z archive.

I use Windows Movie Maker, but it's a sh*t, it slip the music from the pictures.... Arrrh! I hate it!

try adobe premiere. it's a good program to make amvs and other videos. i'm using adobe premiere pro CS3 but there are more versions out there.

To re-create this video, I used Adobe Premiere 6, and a newer version of after effects. If you have enough hard-drive space free, you can use PicVideo's most recent MJPEG codec in all of premiere's project settings, and it will render /so very fast/, it will save you hours of time.
Virtualdub is also an endlessly useful tool. Don't miss out on it.

It means that a character is so manly, that you would willingly let them have sex with you. Since, when compared to these men of men, we are all women. Started out on 4chans /a/ board when somebody said "I'm gar for Archer" (instead of "gay for Archer) and spread. Little saying is that you are gay for "traps" and gar for badasses. Ansesutaa has it wrong and 90% of the people who use the term do as well.

That was part of the idea behind my re-mastering. UBW was easily my favorite arc in F/SN, so I wanted to see if I could give the video just a slightly more complete 'Summary' feel to it without taking away from all the great work the original creator put into it. I hope I succeeded ^_^
