Some of the naievete here is quite amazing! Many stars make nice in public but have had conflict. Just a fact. It has been well documented that Ross at one point had negative feelings towards Whtiney(when Whtiney considered doing lead in Dreamgirls for one example) and Patti at a concert in 2000 was quoted as saying per Diana"Dont mention that woman's name" as she was upset at Cindy Birdsongs exclusion from "Supremes" 2000 tour. Maybe they are all friends now!!!(lol)
Her ex husband is freakin' hot! And he's no youngster in this clip either. Diana is such an eloquent speaker! What's not to love about Diana. Those that don't like her, don't understand the minds of achievers. I don't think she's a ruthless achiever.

He is only the father of her two younger daughters, Chudney and Traci Ellis Ross of "Girlfriends". They divorced somewhere between 1978-1980. He couldn't take the pressure of being Mr. Diana Ross and her erratic temper tantrums that would spew at any given moment. But we love her still, don't we?
@wheninrome345, I think Diana Ross was very spoiled by Motown for a time...She pulled in millions for them when they were basically a fledgling nothing. But she earned her stripes. If you listen to the early recordings, her voice actually got better for awhile as time went along.
I recently saw Patti in Morristown, NJ and Diana at the Mountain Winery in CA a week later. While I love both, Soulvital, you couldnt be more wrong. Patti could hardly finish a complete song. Her voice is still great, WHEN she sings. Diana on the other hand didnt stop moving and singing the entire show. We were on our feet the whole time. As far as her looks, wow, I dont know where you last saw Diana, but she looked fantastic, I was just a few rows from the stage, sitting behind her son.
What a wonderful family! In addition to the stunningly successful career, she raised a wonderful group of children. That's how to tell success and quality!
Diana Ross' voice is incredibly soulful, as most born and bred Baptist chicks voices are, but, it is her pristine tone, unique quality, crisp phrasing and sensual delivery which make her voice so distinctive and special.
She took the pronounced enunciation of her jazz predecessors and brought it into soul, giving it sensuality and chic style, and the world is much better for it.:)
Her vocals were poignant, yet not traditionally soulful (They didn't need to be)which made her voice stand out and sound unique. It also helped that she's a soprano. Tenors and Sopranos usually get all the attention in any genre of music. . People that sound like Patti Labelle are a dime a dozen. Patti and Diana go way back and Patti Like so many artist that knew Diana over the years, knows her personality and either they deal with Diana or they don't....Both Diana and Patti have had work done, Patti's nose and Diana has had those smile lines she use to have as a teenager removed. As far as her teeth, she has had them taken care of since 2006 because they had become discolorated over the years from her drinking coffee..she stated this in an interview....

Pattie has had alot of work done on her face. She admits to a nose job and nip and tuck here and there...Diana has never had any work done...she has always been and continues to be a true beauty.

Now I will admit she has a helluva make up artist, and the DIVA OF ALL DIVAS herself spends money on hair, make-up, clothes, and SHOES like no other. Pattie has had alot of work done on her face. She admits to a nose job and nip and tuck here and there...Diana has never had any work done...she has always been and continues to be a true beauty.

Ask Patti, as candid and open as Patti is, she has nothing to hide. Now I will admit she has a helluva make up artist, and the DIVA OF ALL DIVAS herself spends money on hair, make-up, clothes, and SHOES like no other. If Patti can admit to peeing on herself on stage, surely she can admit to any body enhancements including the nose job!

They were both born in 1944. Diana is almost exactly two months older than Patti. That makes them both 51 at the time of this clip.

@Soulvital patti talks about gettin a tune-up...........a face lift..............just pull the skinup....thats why patti looks so youthful or refreshed.......even without she would look good!

Certain Patti LaBelle fans, who've, probably, never even seen this part of the clip, like to pretend that Diana was rude to Patti here..or anywhere, for that matter.
I really hope that this clip will FINALLY settle the matter, ONCE & FOR ALL.
Diana has always given Patti her props & shown her nothing but love, as is the right thing to do.

I agree. Im a big Patti LaBelle fan and yes she was upset at Diana Ross for sometime but i really do believe that even tho she might had been mad at her she still respected her as a very great singer...Diana Ross is the BOSS. I LOVE how she hugs Patti here it was so real unlike some other female singer(AF) who throws shade at every LEGEND!

thats right StephanAOTTO1, Patti and Di never realy had a problem with each other, Patti just felt burned when Cindy from the Bluebelles left to join the Supremes, they have long gotten over that, and Diana is a bigger fan of Patti's than most ppl would probaly ever realize due to their habit of being close minded and trapped in the past, these two artists respect each other. just let them do their thing and quitting trying to put fuel on a fire that never really burned
