Funny- I am just getting back into the Cult after almost 20 years- I am north of 50, yet vividly remember hearing this in a record Store in LA while travelling on Business in 1989. It was pumped up loud and I picked it up on the spot....then blew off my meeting, got stoned and drove around all afternoon listening to it at maximum volume. Managing my Itunes I stumbled onto it all again this past week. Guess I'm going to have to blow off another meeting and start the car... Under rated Band.
The verse of this song saved my ass back in the 90's, it taught me a life lesson: the existence of rock and roll! Gosh, what a voice/guitars/rythm at this part wooooow
Why cant hard rock bands sound like this anymore? Attitude, talent and the ability to be catchy all at once. Rock sucks so much ass now. Bands like Disturbed and Stained just remind me of trailer park people who end up on cops and that emo/scene bullshit is just annoying and needs to stop.
the most interesting man in the world just became the most irritating.....i just wanna jam ,save the commercials for TV!yes ive recently posted many comments ,again WTF does it matter & wtf does you tube making me type jibberish HELP ANYFUCKINTHANG????????????
I played this tape all the time, one of the first concerts I went to. This album, Guns n' Roses, Poison, Motley Crue, Bon Jovi, AC/DC, al from my tween years. Good memories of going out "wilding" with the E.V. Crew
I was born in 1992 to a mother who was a diehard fan of The Cult. This song, aswell as 'She Sells Sanctuary' reminds me of my childhood in our old house, good times!
@reptilia5 oh man, i can remember driving up to the record store to buy this (remember those?)
somehow someway someone had hooked me up with some ganja and i hadn't smoked forever up until then. This song came out through the speakers, and the trancelike/hypnotic beginning of this song just blew me away. I was rocked and this was the perfect accompaniment
@reptilia5 Ha Ha Ha i love it,"My pot smoking days in the late 80's" Too funny, but i bet lays so true right??? Not speaking for myself sense i was NEVER into the whole pot thing.I see nothing wrong with it,but it just wasn't for me : )!!!
years after years, decades after decades...this song NEVER EVER lose its power...on me...i cannot believe how they came up such melodies...such solo...riffs..it is far beyond anything i heard last 20 years ....this is crazy......how perfect it is.... .... and the last riff... fuck man... wohoo wohoo
hace mas de 20 años compre este album solo por la caratula , que era muy usada para promocionar recitales. es increible lo bien que suenan aun despues de todos estos años

@62burnley Great to hear buddy. As geat as the 60 and 70's rock was the Cult made their mark in rock history for those of us who know the difference. I saw these guys open for Metallica in 89 and changed my world.
yeah, great songs. i like to remeber when i was young. i was 17, when i bought this album and play it from the morning till the evening time :-) i feel really cool

Man this song rocks balls; they are on tour right now. Go catch them if you haven't! When Justin Bieber's voice goes the way of whiskey on gravel The Cult will still be rocking.
