Ok only few ppl can sound the same live as they do on recordings, If anyone doubts Archuleta listen to him sing live cuz he sounds the same as he does recording. Even during idol the producers would always say that he was the fastest one to record the studio versions cuz he'd sing it thru once maybe twice and it'd be perfect. Look for his first performance of "Crush" live it sounds the same except a few melody changes but that's minor

I think a lot of times artists change the songs when they sing live because they can't sing it like they do on the track. Ex. Britney can't make her voice vibrate like in her songs. Adam from maroon 5 can't sing half of their songs live, he would squeal. Cook was flat through part of the song. Only great singers can sound like they do on the track.
