I do admire KIA for their constant will to improve every new model so they can be up to par with the rest of the competition. The only thing that might need a bit more work is their interiors. Other than that, keep up the good work KIA!!
You know Audis kicking themselves in the ass for letting Peter Schreyer "Kia's Chief Design Officer" go ;P Keep up the great work Peter your doing a hell of a job with Kia!
I just bought a Kia and I told myself I'd never buy one but I'm actually impressed. Plus the warranty is great. People are just closed minded and waste money on stuff cuz they see every one else with one. Be different folks and u will see great things come when u open yur mind.
I hope you don't refer to me, none of my cars are Jap. I refer to they type of people who buy cars, like this, that are nothing about the driving experience and all about getting from point A to point B at the lowest price. You can buy a small cheap car and have fun on the drive, try any Fiat, Renault, Peugot, Ford Fiesta, Smart car, for example. Most are affordable, but with still some emphasis on the drive itself.
I bet you most people bashing this new Optima and the Kia brand in general have never even driven a Kia of the past few years. The quality is worth buying these days, especially when you factor in the significantly lower prices and unbeatable warranty. When my friend had problems with his Accord at 50k miles, guess what? He was screwed because it wasn't under warranty anymore. Meanwhile, if my Optima has any hiccups at it's current 52k miles, I just bring it to Kia and they take care of me!
@eddies343 nope my civic blows transmissions every 40,000 miles. started at 56K. and no its not just me, its a known problem for hondas of the last 10 years
I coukld care less about a new Kia or any old kia for that matter. I wonder if anyone has ever done a raod accident survey to see if people who buy cars like this are more often involved in accidents and if they caused them. By 'cars like this' I mean people who don't care about the quality of the ride at all, just that they get where they want to go.
Kia is nice. They've come up to Honda and Toyota quality and reliability yet people are stupid enough to rather have like a Chevy or a Dodge over a Kia. Guess they just like getting reacquainted with their local mechanics. I'm considering a Kia for my next car. They also have the best warranty in the auto industry!
I can see the typical grille that is on the newer model Kia's. Im glad to see that this is more than just a facelift. Did I see a camoed Sonata in the video?
If its supposed to be a sport version of the sonata they should have put a turbo 4 cylinder or NA 6 cylinder with the option of a manual transmission but I guess the type of people that buy kia don't really care whats under the hood.
I like how the hood covers really misrepresent the front of the cars. Your eye is like, "Wow, that looks like it will have an aggressive hood underneath". Sneaky... You don't have to say it, I'm just rambling!
@devyvalentino key word in that sentencing is "looking". Doesnt mean they are going to be reliable. I work for Enterprise Rent-a-Car and I had to deliver 2 brand new 2010 Kia Borrego's and they both broke down within 10min of driving time. Check engine light came on then the suv started running like shit.
@adiosk8r91 Yup that's a good thing. Noneless, Hyundai//Kia have the best styling cues from cars that "regular" people can buy and enjoy with tons of features at exceptional value. This will really help their resale value.
Yeah but what about they motors reliable?

Very true, if I were to buy a Kia or Hyundai, the first and last thing on my mind will be just about getting from point A to point B nothing more.
