except for the "no marriage" part I agree that the harvest moon series needs to get with the times and allow same-sex relations and romance, ect. even if set in the past it doesn't need to be so realistic in the sense that only heterosexual relations/romance are allowed after all they have sprites and the harvest goddess, ect. they need more magical stuff in the series too I'm glad they had a witch princess in a couple of the games there needs to be more fantasy and variety overall in the series

the 2nd year is where u have son (u actually can have a daughter too), in the 3rd year he'll grew up,, n so on.. on 6th year a tragedy will crush n ur son will be someone u intended to if u did well on guide him since he was small..

So much love & care goes into tributes. It's great that Harvest Moon affects people so much, esp since it offers such a + role model — a world where hard work, persistence, & cooperation create success. I hope Natsume's vision continues to thrive & expand the idea of family, ie— letting singles adopt kids/monsters & letting same-sex couples partner. Not marriage per se (too political) but an option to live together, commit, show affection, & work towards a common dream like the boy-girl couples.

Well, what you do in this game is you raise animals, plant crops, get married, raise a child, ride a horse, and a bunch of other stuff. I know it probably sounds boring, but Harvest Moon is one of the funnest video game series that exist out there. It's highly addictive and is a successful and soothing change from playing those games where you go around killing.
