Although I am probably out of date with the comments, or the posting, I'll give my 2pence worth anyway.

Copyright issues cause a lot of videos to be either removed or have the audio binned. It's a bit pedantic at best from these huge companies. On video's like this and others which are, essentially, advertising the band/track fro free, it seems a shot in the foot.

Sure, everything can be cracked and the audio nabbed out of the video, but honestly, I think these vids will increase sales.

They were Ads! Nothing more than advertisements that tv stations barely paid for as content, and music companies were only too happy to have tv stations play as often as they liked.

But, ooooooh no, now that videoclips have become an artform in themselves, when DVD compilations of videoclips make money, enter the lawyers.

Here's something for you: We have recorded TV programs and recorded/ripped the audio from them. That is only because the TV broadcast video had better sounding, more dynamic music than the single or album on CD, despite the broadcast being most likely MPEG encoded and missing anything >20kHz. We have bought the CD, and it sounds like pooh! This was with Keane, I think. The T4 broadcast was sonically better.

You are correct. It is a combination of lots of factors that make him so off. One he didn't know the words 100%, two I had problems matching the music to his lip syncing, three when i converted it so it could upload on youtube it knocked it out of alignment a little.
