I have been type 1 for 30 years now. God does send angels like you to ALL of us. Time for us to LISTEN and BELIEVE what you have to say. Thank You!!!!
I've been a diabetic for 15 years myself (17 now) Just wanted to say I love the song =) I don't agree with people posting videos up about this - well yours is a lot better than some of the ones I have watched this morning are like 'preaching' which is pure stupidity.
It gave me the strength to face a 100% blockage in my LAD without fear, and I know you will find the same strength in yourselves, for the same light shines in every heart that has love and loves in return.
I wish that all that face my path can be cured, but that if you must walk this path know that there is always hope and that you will not walk alone. I can't explain it or rationalize it, it's just something that I know to the core of my heart. I was given no hope, but everyday in living hope shone all around me, especially when all seemed dark.
When i started there were no pumps, no testers, except urine testing, needles and syringes were glass and had to be boiled. There was only beef and pork insulin, the diet was not understood and i was prescribed large amounts of protein. because of people like me the researchers have gone so much further.
Here I am, over 50 and still working and contributing to society. Every moment i have is cherished, and i try to live the best i can for I have a debt to an unknown angel that can never be repaid. I have been near death and everytime my spirit has shone with a light I can't describe, but others have seen it. Tomorrow I will go to work and try to desing a better hospital for women's college hospital in toronto.
Since my transplant I suffered hypoglycaemia, whoch disappeared after 6-7 months, type 2 diabetes during the rejection and for 4 months after. I have been diabetes clear since the rejection. I have had pneumonia 6 times - each time ending in an emergency hospital stay. I've had cellulitits and some neuropathy. When I was 11 the mds said i would live another 25 years.
I have 2 daughters with type 1 diabetes.Everyday I pray every day for a cure .These children should not have to suffer with this. It is not fair. Please keep praying everyone.
I had type 1 for 30 years - before there was the pump or home blood tests. At yr 24 my kidneys started to fail. I ended up on peritoneal dialyses. I suffered large wieght gains, and 3 bouts of peritonitis due to catheter failure. On may 21 1997 I received a kidney pancreas transplant from an angel. Since then I suffered two heart attacks, emergency angioplasty, retinopathy, acute rejection, CMV twice, hospitalizations, infections. I never stopped working and running a household.
i was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes about 2 months ago i am 13 now and it has changed my life forever they found out my diabetes and they were saying that they were happy that they found it cos any minute it would of have changed to type 1 and i wouyld have been ill he was saying that at this moment i should be in hospital fighting for my life but he said i am a specail child :) i was also diagnosed with a brain tumor :( thankss for such a moving video :) xxxx
This song was played at my uncles funeral he died of type 1 diabetes along with a heart attack my 6 year old friend called Kaitlyn had Type 1 diabetes when i said had i mean she died she had it since she was 3 just like Young Kaden Kaitlyn would of been 14 on the 16th of March she suffered to much and these young children shouldn't have to suffer to much also this song was played at Kaitlyns funeral aswell
What a touching video. They are so innocent and beautiful. There is certainly hope. Let's unite to find a solution against diabetes. Is there a cure, those who uses Dbethics believes so as they have seen their blood glucose drop and some even overcome insulin resistance.Beautiful angels you deserve better. Let's hope you get to manage your blood sugar to normal naturally too.
I've Had Loads of Trouble in the Last Year. Ive Had DKA 4 Times and Have been in Intensive Care once. I Adore the doctors and nurses and pray for a cure so that i can just be a normal kid again. Holly x

that is a really powerful video! I've had diabetes for 10yrs, since i was 6 and it's been a constant battle, but since i was about 13 or 14 i decided to help others with this horrid disease, i created a diabetes campaign, which i have now moved on from and am at the first stages of making a Diabetes centre, to help all with diabetes, with mainly the psychological effects, but with anything to do with it!

That was so beautiful. I was diagnosed with type 1 in 1977 when I was ten, and my sister had been diagnosed with it the year before at age three. Kids, you can do it. Never ignore your diabetes, but don't let it rule your feelings. And my love to all of the parents of diabetic children. I know how hard it was for my parents, but like I've just told your children....you can do it.
i'm a father of 2 sons 5 and 3 with type 1 and this video touched me bigtime !!! thank you for posting it to raise awareness !! i pray everyday for a cure
This video is so inspirational - I cried and cried as I watched it. I am 25 with type 1 diabetes, and I know that my parents also wished that they could take away all my pain and transfer it onto themselves. They felt the pain of my lows and highs as much if not more than I did. It was so heartbreaking to see all the beautiful little children who have to endure so much every single day. Yet, they flash their beautiful smiles and stay strong. Thank you very much for posting this.
ive been a diabeteic for almost 2 years, its not fun. SUPPORT JDRF!
