Are you people insane? People in the north don't deify their historical figures. They see them as humans who did good and bad. These plantation-aristocrats would have sold your asses to augment their societal power any minute of any day. Remember high school when the "cool" kids would do anything to keep you from being in their group? That is how adult socio-political societies function as well. I would bet don't worship modern-day politicians, so why worship historical politicians?!
@cowbelltg Yah, and though he is given credit for freeing the slaves, and I admit he did a lot more than most along those lines, I wouldn't have trusted him with my own black skin (though I'm white). People are selfish; they act out of self-interest. Even the most "religious" do this. Keep your eye on your wallet and don't romanticize POLITICIANS of all people.. Gawd.
I tried very hard to get my wife to accecpt the name Varina (in honor of Varina Davis) when naming our daughter but she just wouldn't go for it, so we named her in honor of her Great Grandmothers instead.
@hatchbx "Southron" is a Scots word for "Southern" and was used by the South during Lincoln's invasion to describe the nationality of the people of Dixie. A Southron hero then is a hero of the South, especially a Southern nationalist hero.
Damn it brother, you gotta send me this song, please!!! Tell me that you have it! And heck yeah, good video, as usual! I agree with Riverbirch, that's something you don't see very often, a tribute to a Confederate lady. God bless the Daughters of the Confederacy!
Great work "R.S.A." as you say another great hero or heroine as it were of our beloved Southland. Mrs. Davis was quite stricking, if I do say so myself, very beautiful... Beautiful, Strong & Intelligent. Great traits many of our Southern Women display...
After all the sacrifice of out Patriotic Ancestors, and with our Children depending on us for their future, we have no Honorable Choice but to Demand Self Determination!
Hope y'all enjoy this. I tried to do justice to this lady's very interesting life. It's impossible in this format but hopefully y'all get an idea of what her life of service to our homeland was all about.

Thank you for showing the strength of women in the Confederate Cause. Women did a great deal and are not represented enough. So thank you!
