The muslim acknowledges that apostasy is punishable by death, fine. This is not a huge admission since it it well known. But the fellow shouting down the answers to his question was asserting the Qur'an says that all non-muslims should be killed.

Muslims are busy re-interpreting the words of the Qur'an and the Sharia as much as the early Christians did with the bible. That forms the crux of the problem, Islam is being used by emotional and cultural children to excuse and condone every chimpanzee impulse to violence they feel just as much as Christianity was (and some argue, still is). From death for Apostacy to death for infidels.

Shouting down answers and insisting on putting words into the mouths of others doesn't further the cause of a more modern, sensible interpretation of scriptures. Granted, my opinion is that the only reasonable interpretation of scripture is that none of it is sacred and hardly any is even inspired. But only by allowing them to hear their answers is anyone ever going to get them to question their answers.
