Letterman USED to be funny. For the last several years he has been extremely NON funny. His show sucks now and he just acts...goofy. Silly. I have always hated Leno but i'm not too fond of Letterman anymore either. What happened to him? He acts so arrogant and stupid that I can't watch his show anymore which is a real shame. He USED to be GREAT! Those days are long gone apparently.

Well, seeing how I'm an engineering student who is currently able to go to school because of the government I'd say you're full of BS.
I recently had a medical bill of around 270,000.00 dollars and once again, if it wasn't for the government I'd be out of luck. And I'm a broke college student mind you so insurance isn't an option. Just the helicopter ride to the hospital was 12,000. What a deal!
And Nationalized health care isn't BS many countries have it and it works for them just fine.

We are facing one of the toughest economic struggles ever. McCain says he doesn't get the economy. Snap out of the red/blue nonsense for a second and listen. We voted for Bush twice. We knew he wasn't bright, but thought he and Cheney were going to be "compassionate conservatives." We got two wars, tapped phones and a crashing economy. What Letterman and many other people are inferring is that this was a political stunt by McCain. He didn't/hasn't done anything to help this crisis. Moreover, its unlikely that he could do that seeing as he admittedly doesn't know much about the economy. Heck if you watched the debate you might of noticed that addition seemed to be difficult for him.

this was a planned interview with letterman that was made well in advance. it probably would have had an audience that is exponentially larger than an average letterman broadcast and it would have been a perfect platform to get mccain's ideas on the economy started. it's not like he's fixing this economic crisis overnight. it was not a responsible move on the senator's part and even more of a slap in the face, that his people lied to letterman's to do another broadcast on the same network.
