  • These people sux ! They don't know shit about Macro !

  • this is a good video but not good for beginners as i don’t think many beginners will have all that kit,

  • This video gives absolutely know information about macro photography. "Macro photography is all about getting close to your subject" she says, yet she crit the pictures they took about not getting a sense of scale over nothing about the sourrounding area hahahahahaha. what a joke..........

  • This is very helpful and informative.

  • agreed - great lesson, I just bought a macro and am having some issues with taking pics, vis a vis DOP - my interest is in insects and I always get the head but the rest is blurred .. thanks :)

  • I like how the woman didn't even say what lens they were using, I think they were taking "faux" macro shots with the "macro" setting on their telephoto lenses. Pretty lame.

  • @arrayfx She is CONSTANTLY saying what lens they are using! Is the volume on your computer on or the sound card functioning? Seriously!?!?!?!?

  • So this vid made by Canon told me nothing about "Macro" photography except that I need to buy a Canon macro lens. All of the shots look alot like what I could achieve with my standard lenses. Can someone with more knowledge than me please explain more about macro?

And btw I dont think they are students I think they are models selected for thier studentness.....?

  • @StinkyWizzleTits: well I've learned a lot from it.. :P

  • Macro is any recorded image that is larger on the recording sensor than in real life, IOW; larger than 1:1

  • The yet to be released Canon 60D's articulating screen would do fine for a couple of the macro shots to assist in adding a bit of creative angle to composition .. A couple black n white shots would have been stunning .. I think :-)

    I LOVE CANON!!!

  • most of the shots were boring.

    except the last one.

  • ...the bearded guy seems to be some kind of supervising scientist.

  • They're students for God's sake, give 'em a break - you're being too harsh.

Messing with the archeological site of course, is a big no-no.

  • Woman, you sound great!!!

  • Nothing macro about any of the pictures. Only thing close was the picture of the tree sap that had nothing to do with their assignment.

  • God...I hope you aren't compromising scientific discovery for the sake of your photography hobby.

  • I want more videos like this in Youtube, thanks for your job :)

  • Very nicely put together, really enjoyed watching that. Thanks :o)
