Well I got the Beamer R1200GS for the long runs but a bit boring on the early morning fang through the hills..how tempting this bike is as a second in the garage...I need to win lotto NOW
Nice choice of bike by the way GDN, but the great thing about the Hyper is it's uber affordable (good for all of us!), especially th 796. I'll get the 796 by Feb 2010. Probabaly that hero white color selection.
Judging by my test ride that would be no issue at all. The riding position is fine, the only issue would be wind at higher speeds. But every 100-120 miles you are going to fill up on this bike so I would think no problem.
definately not you probably could not reach the ground these bikes are high from the ground anyway why would a 14 year old want to ride a 1100 bike for stick to something more suited to your size age and ability
I want to correct an earlier statement. The KTM Duke's seat is too slim. I test drove a Super Duke, sold the Hypermo and bought the KTM! The Super Duke's fuel injector is way more confidence inspiring. The KTM Super Duke is the best NAKED SPORT BIKE on the market.
I own one. This bike has unreal low - mid range tourque. It's hard too keep the front end down. You have to sit on the front half of the seat. The seat is wider in the back half. Way better designed seat than the KTM super Duke's slim seat. You can slide off that bike with fast acceleration.
ecce moto!!!!!!!

would this bike be okay for just getting me back and forth from school and showin off?
jaymesk8 2 years ago
Actually no, Ducati's have very sensitive engines which require good maintence and having patience to let the engine take its time to get warm.
Besides this kind of engines don't like constant RPM's like on the highway.

I imagine so, but I really wouldn't know. Just redline it and turn some heads.

Actually the air-cooled 2 valve twin in this bike is known for being bullet proof. Countless people put on 50k, even 100k on this engine.
