  • Student alert 2:22 - yes, be there or be him!

  • Twats......

  • what does it matter if drugs were the major downfall to why the hacienda shut down, drugs are also what gives it half its legendary status. also because it shut down you crave to experience times there where as if it was still running it would be mediocre and less iconic, these days with this shit music thats out at the mo :/

  • The creative process is spurred on when you live in a city {town} where it rains a lot and it`s cold. All manchesters notable seminal albums where recorded in London.

Manchester is the Englands 4th best town.

  • @BRIYONCE1 what a load of bollocks!! Joy Divison - Unknown Pleasures - recorded at Strawberry Studio's by Martin Hannett (RIP) in Stockport, Greater Manchester. (also to answer your point EVEN if other records were recorded in London, they were written, demo'd and inspired by Manchester.. fuckin useless comment from someone who evidently is NOT from manchester! Manchester is the UK's number 1 music city!

  • the daze of my youth were spent there at this time, rave on.

  • The bollox above is exactly why the Hac was over by 1990, full of pissed up professional 'Mancs' and was it's ultimate downfall.

  • @Wearenotreallyhere

It probably had more to do with Tony Wilson's several poor financial decisions.

  • @Wearenotreallyhere Perhaps you're right about the year, after all, it had been going eight years by then, but its downfall was drug dealers and mismanagement. I don't recall too many pissed up 'office types' but there were loads of scally Mancs and Salford from '88 on. The club changed after acid house.

  • True home of musical genius.

  • this was a great place..the hacienda...shame its crap apartments now!!!

  • Erm, you;re original arent you?

using the same fucking comment on every video NO ARGUMENT

  • Hmmm...that Paul Mason's not even a Manc. Midlands? Stoke...anybody?
