  • You are an amazing teacher. :)

  • Hi Janice, Great video. You cracked me up with the "We don't want No stinking cracks". I see that you throw standing. How long did it take you to get used to it? Also, if you don't mind my asking.. What are you using to elevate your Shimpo?

  • @DirtKickerStudio I stacked up cinder blocks 2 high on their sides and sat the wheel on top of them. I think blocks or bricks are probably the easiest material to use to raise your wheel. They are cheap, sturdy, and stable. It probably only took a few days to get used to it, and my back is so much happier. If your wheel is unstable after raising it, putting it against a wall will help. And I'm glad my joke made someone out there laugh! :) I'm a bit goofy.

  • Thanks! I'm just getting into wheel throwing and am looking for some new mug shapes to try. I like the multiple bellies. I'll check out your other videos, too!

  • This was a very nice cylinder. Do you have a video of pulling and attaching the handle?

  • @MiaOgundipe - I don't have one on handles, but I'll try to make one. Thank you for the suggestion!
