Good work. I watched the CAFO online lesson from Tosin on jamplay dot com and I can say that you made an excellent work. Yeah, Tosin plays in a Drop-D tuning, probably because of the tapping sections, but it doesn't matter. It's interesting to see someone playing sweeps and licks on the most difficult portion of the fretboard :) but, you know, the tone is really different :) Keep working and have a nice day :) greetings from Italy

@Akiachrounoumena thanks man! i found out that it's much more easy for me to play sweeps, where you need to kinda roll your finger down or up the frets, ie you need to play a sweep on the 15th fret of the 5, then 4 and the 3 string with only one finger. all the guitar players i know say that it's difficult for them, but not for me and i dunno why

@stratomaster41 actually you have become aware of Tosins existence only when the AAL album was out. so i'll explain you this: some songs on the album were recorded using a 7 string guitar, some with an 8 string. in CAFO the EIGHTH string is NEVER used (though you may play it on a 8 string guitar, using only first 7 strings). and if you'll look attentively, you will see, that Tosin plays this sweeps right at the same place of the neck, where i do. it means that he doesn't use the 8 string here.

@RGftw73 yes, as i stated from the start...the usual tuning for AAL is EBGDAEBE from hi to low strings, and in CAFO the 6th string (which is usually E) is dropped to D. you may not agree, but i can prove this statement: there is a Deconstructing CAFO video, where Tosin shows how to play the ascending part and explains the tuning, and the tapping video with 8 string, where he shows the clean tapping leek from CAFO. in the last video he doesn't explain the tuning, but i learned that leek according

Are the notes 10 to 17 played constantly with downstrokes? I´m having big Problems to do those kinds of string-skipping fast. When I play it it would sound like dadada (pause) dadada... think you got it^^

@DonaldDrug well you should play all of them like down-down-down, imagine that you play a power cord, but not all 3 strings at a time, but with some sort of delay, a lil bit slower movement with your right hand, than when playing a power cord. maybe this will help you, i dunno) good luck with this) also try to play it really SLOW, very slow, and then speed up

Thx for answering that fast. The sweep-motion is not the problem, just the skip over the middle string because of the long way the hand has to travel in the same time. I think I´ll just have to practice it over and over with a metronome. Damn!

@NoaOno you can play it even from the 5th string)) but will it be as simple as the original version of the sweep?) and i changed the tuning because first i've figured out how to play all the song, and only then i discovered, that Tosin plays it in different tuning. so i made a cover in standart tuning. it matters only in sweeping part. the tapping lick is played almost the same way.
