@polarismark Right I forgot all the sno-cross sleds they race are triples. That makes sense now, lol. I've yet to get beat on my '03 F7 and thats a fact. Bring any triple you want....ANY!
@polarismark the 800 e tec makes 163.9 hp stock and i gurentee it has more torque than a 11 year old snowmobile and if you race a 11 year old xcr against a new ski doo on a snow cross track who do you think is going to win and which one do you think obivously has better fuel efficiency. so i think that we have come to the conclusion that you sir are wrong

A triple is a more efficient engine in every way, emissions wise, power potential wise ect ect... Tripples just don't have the bottom end torque like a twin, tripples are terrible on gas(so how does this make them more efficient?), excessive weight of motor, and the list goes on and on.
Sorry to tell you, yes twins can and do make that kinda power, sorry.......
You've never rode a XCR 800 then or a SRX or a well setup mach Z. Im sorry if your too ignorant to get past the fact that nothing could possibly ever beat your superior twins. The XCR 800 that I bought is the first triple I have had in 11 years. In that 11 year time I have had 8 Polaris twin sleds. 4 of them brand new. Modded to varying degree's The last sled's I had were a IQR 800 VES Mod , a 04 PRO XR 800 VES mod and a PRO x2 800 VES Mod. All pushed around 160HP.
@polarismark Why are you hatting so much, come on now, no need to. Yes twins can and do make that kind of power, what's the big deal? Yes I own an weel step-up 800R Ski-doo, yes it's the motor to try to beat. And Yes, I have owned

And yes, it's fast, and yes my 800R kills it in the 660', but they run pretty close top-end at 115mph plus....
They were great and all and yes they have more low end power, but a well setup triple can over come that. The XCR 800 I have would walk all three of those sleds even though it weighs 555lbs and they were right around 450-460 lbs. @polarismark ETEC's are in the 155-160 horse power range... And weigh about 200 pounds less... And get amazing mileage. Older MXZ 800's were putting out the same amount of power as the XCR as well.
@Dieselboy350 Older MXZ 800's were putting out the same amount of power as the XCR as well...what did you smoke for telling that. old mxz 800 ran high 12 at app 98mph on a 1320ft and the xcr 800 1999 ran high 11 at low 12 at app 106mph on 1320ft.
@frostward22 Yea geniuse, raising the rear is just going to alleviate so much ski pressure right? trple= big wallet? You mean to tell me that its more expensive to buy a 11y/o triple for 1500-2000 than it is to buy a new twin for 13-15k or even one thats 5 y/o, still 3500-5000 and your making what, 115-120 hp 130-135hp w/ 1k worth of mods (600-700cc). You find a set of pipes for this pig for $150-200 (145-150hp)
grand total = $1650-2200
Look on your face when you get stomped = PRICELESS!!!
lol for one its old chassis which means all weight is at front so ur gonna have to raise the back suspension and stiffin the front suspension and put a 2 inch agressive paddle track and maybe invest in some aftermarket pipes and stingers and if u really dont care bout that sled loosen the limber straps that will sheelie like no tomorrow when u do that :P
@YouInspiredThisOne yeah but he probably has the sled set up for alot of ski pressure because hes an agressive rider...I know a guy who set up his new MXZ 800 with max. ski pressure and it turns like a dream but its never wheelied (But its hard to turn), most real riders sleds are like that.
read he title it says triple pipes failed catwalk........i dont know if its me but i think its quite clear me that triple pipes dont make a sled wheelie
@IDIOTSTICK101 i dont think he ever mentioned once in the video or description that he thought that triple pipes made it wheelie... so sir you are a dumbass. and then, to top it all off, you said the same exact thing a week later. hey retard if anyone cared about your first statement, they would have said something immediately after, and judging by the reactions of everyone viewing this video i dont think anyone fucking cares
@IDIOTSTICK101 or maybe he was stating that since vmax tripples come with a 3 into 1 pipe the title is saying hey guys i bought 3 individual pipes for my vmax and tried to catwalk but it didnt work
@yamaharules163 ya...like a boating tube...but on a snowmobile...we live right next door to my neighbors 15 acres of open field, so we can pull a tube with that during the winter
@3rd4thgenFbody if your willing to put triple pipes on the viper, then id go that way! buddy of mine did it and put the 1.375 arctic cat sno pro track on it and it wheelied awesome and was really quick
@3rd4thgenFbody either one man... Both GREAT machines. A little heavy, but you'd get used to it. A stock srx 700 was the fastest production sled in '00.
have any of you people who say that ski doos suck even ever rode one. Dont tell me you have a friend or know somebody who has one and it blew up or what ever... cause its the rider not the machine. I have a 2000 ski doo mxz 600 with close to 9000 miles on it... the problems i have had with it this year... spark plugs needed to be changed.... and i like arctic cat and i like polaris... but i am not a fan of yamahas specialy since everyone who has one can only talk shit about other sleds
i dont get why everyone is arguing about sleds? aha like i think it has to do with what type of riding your doing. yu get yamahas if yur a trail guy long distance ride and stuff like that i got 2007 ski doo tnt 600 and i do a bit of trailing and just bombing through feilds i dont see how the companys matter much
These people are funny, seriously if you aint got a clue about sleds then STFU.
For better catwalks loosen your front limiter, soften the rear, and get a taller track and lower gearing with a stiffer primary spring and steeper helix. Yamy's weren't meant to catwalk. There designed to hook up and go fast. When your skies are in the air, your track is only contacting 30% and you lose alot of traction, when drag racing traction and clutching is everything. Which is why yamy's were no slouch.
OKEy! I CAN TELL EVERYBODY WHo HAVE WATCH THIS FUCKUP VID, THAT YAMAHA IS THE WORST SLED PRODUCENT EVER! WHY? BECAUSE THAY ALSO MAKE Block Flute!! !! thats say a little BIT!!!!
@15kickerlivinloud your name is yamaharules163 apparently your the dumb one calling a yamaha lover a dumbass when you are a yamaha lover too kid so shut the fuck up and go sit on your dildo mounted on your pussy ass skidoo seat
@satanspiss96 umm that dosnt meen they suck i own one that has 13000 km on it and it still runs perfect never had a problem just becuase they make more than motors meens they dont half to try to make ther engines or sleds better they make more than just sleds they excell in alot of stuff so shut up and think first
So after i bought it adjusted the suspenion, it walked from a stand still!! Then on a full out run on the river, the primary exploded, and took out the bender secondary clutch, weights through the hood, belt shreaded, all fucked up. Sold for pritty good price to as it sat.
this year i found a 2000 SRX 700 with alot of goodies 2000 orignalmiles $3400, complete serviced. pick up in month, big plans for it!!
@jman2350w Im not a yamaha dude (Arctic Cat) but i have to give these yamaha engines their do. The only problem you will find is the power valve cables need adjusting every 1000 miles or more thats about it. I personally own a 2000 thundercat 1000 triple and it moves, but these yamaha triples are nasty when you fool around with the exhause pipes and carbs. Looking foward to racing some triples next year.
@27ballantyne it aint bragging when ure telling someone what u have and what uve done to it. i believe i was asking him the question. holy! whats up with all u retards thinkin ure badass with ure piece of shit arctic cats and ure 440s! big deal its a 2000 mountain max 700 triple! it weighs alot so if u aint got a yamaha. shut up! thank u!
for everyone thats thinks arctic-shit runs like these engines, sure, for like 1-2km then the pistons fly like birds out of a jet-engine.. in small pieces of crapmetal..
arctic has realy nice chassies but crappy engines, been working on far too many arctic engines to be so stupib and go buying one!
@TheTRJG Actually, ac engines are the worst of the big four. Very fast, and sounds cool, but unreliable... The average life span of an ac is anywhere between 2500 to bout 4000 miles. which isn't good at all. Some more, some less. I rebuilt a srx 700 for a guy for preventative maintenance with 15,000 miles yes miles. The internals looked like new. 127 lbs of compression in all 3 cyl. leakdown check was fantastic. That is why I now ride yamaha. GO BLUE!!!
@jamn83 i disagree with you, ac makes reliable engines. my dad's 03 f7 had 13,700 on it before he sold it and nothing ever broke on it when we had it. Out of the brands i'd say ac were #2 or 3 not 4 for reliability. But i do agree with you that yamaha's are reliable
@TheTRJG Thats very, very rare. Being a small engine mechanic, and knowing many more; we see more cats than anything. I see a lot of polaris, doo and yami as well. Based on years of work, countless hrs of research, and being an avid rider thats not afraid to ride his sled like he stole it... that's my observation. But they do handle, and ride great. If you want a 97 ta 00 sled but don't wanna spend over $2000? Yamaha will give ya the most bang for your buck.
@jamn83 no that is not very rare, everyone in family or friends ride arcticcat and never once any of them left us on the side of the trail, and we don't drive them like little church goers either. And we also do all the work and maintance to them ourselves. I dissagree with for the years from 97-00 to get the best for your dollar i'd say polaris
@TheTRJG I partially agree with you on the polaris deal. The infamous 488 fan cooled trails, and the 600 and 700 pre-ves liberty twins are arguablly some of the greatest engines ever made. But lets compare apples to apples... 600 mono-block tripples-JUNK. Soft cranks. Polaris ultras, and storms ie. 700 and 800. The ultra (680) weighs 66lbs more than the srx 700, and gets about 3-4 mpg less. Don't get me wrong, I love certain sleds from every model. Good discussion.
@jamn83 i agree with you on the lack of gas milage of the polaris sleds, i currently own a 96 440 high performance twin and it has worse fuel milage than my dad's 600 xcr triple (which if you look at it right it makes sense being its a high performance and has to work harder to keep up) but his friend is currently selling his artic cat (ZR 600 EFI Limited Edition) for $600 something broke on it and he is going to fix it before he sells it to us, but im wondering if i should get a SPX 700 polaris
@MrTopperHarley Anyways, the year really doesn't matter. That was a very good engine. As long as you do proper maintenance. You can also build the livin crap outta them. Heavy pigs, not so great on gas. But very reliable. Ride hard man!!
@jamn83 ok, thanks, the spx was a 97, i think im gonna get the cat though cuz it has alot of money put into it on mods and it also has an extra tank the only thing that im worried about is that the sled bogs out is whats wrong with it and we had an old yamaha that boged and we couldnt diagnose it and if the cat starts to bog agian if the current owner fixes it i really do not want to spend all my time working on the engine of a sled that i dont know a whole alot about. thanks for the info tho
@MrTopperHarley It could be one of many things. Too hard ta tell without lookin at it. Remember one thing... Mods mean more maintenance. Generally speaking, the more you increase power, the less life the engine will have. If its motor upgrades.
@hedstaX3M its just a bad case of yamaha that heavy ass sled isnt going up even if it was on mud.. I see so many people talk shit about other sled companies its a joke.. any sled will fly apart with improper maintenance and machine for that matter but come on dude dont tell me you not workin on those AC's dreamin..wishing it was yours I have an F7 and no rebuild yet its at 5000km no indications of any sort of problem either then seals and what not
For all u retards Bragging about how ure sled is stock and will pull a wheely and him not knowing how to ride? seriously come on! if u new anything about this sled u would shut up. Mountain max snowmobiles all way a shit load and it takes alot for this sled under the motor to pull a wheely with that much weight in the front! so stop with the bullshit unless u have a mountain max shut the hell up. There done deal.
to those guys trying to get ur yamahas to wheelie if you have the pro action skid just take the top plastic rings outta of the pro action arms and wheelie away i did this with my srx and if would keep the skis up for a mile
why would u post a vid of urself not knowing how to ride? i ride a zrt 600, it is stock, and sounds better, and will pick the skis up without standing on the back. u suck.
@catmaster600 Yes cause im sure the stock arctic crap triple piston popper sounds better. The torsions/limiter straps were on tightest. Do you even know what these are?
First of all, yes i know what limiter straps are. second, how about stopping all the excuses,( running on fumes, straps to tight) and put some gas in it, loosen up the strap, and then give it a try. maybe then you wont look so bad, and you might have something to brag about.Third, this is a free country, and i am entitled to my opinion, and i think that its funny that you get so upset when people dont think that your cool.
first my 98 srx 700 has taken a zrt900 so as to cats being faster idk second what do u mean he has constant comp problems what he blows gaskets all the time than hes not tuned right obviously u idiot i bet u race this untuned yami and think now ur cat is faster wanna race mine?
@yamaharules163 The STOCK artic cat ZRT 600, is one of the FASTEST 600 triples there is. Especially the 96's and 97's my 97 lifts the skiis when you slam down the throttle sitting on the gas tank. Hahaha, AC 4 life
@catmaster600 aight first of all zrt's suck and i will guarentee u that this yamaha will walk rate away from your little pussy cat. ARCTIC CAT SUCKS COCK!!
@catmaster600 your right the my zrt 600 sounds better than that and its stock , and all you other baby's stop crying just because someone tells the truth , and dude with the video my zrt 600 has given me 0 problems so i don't think you really know much about them , i didn't say all this to get all you kids mad just to set you straight with the truth not some bullshit in which you are led to believe.

800 etec ran like the xcr on 1320ft...

Get your head out of your ass. Triples are mans sleds.
netefrog 10 months ago
@frostward22 Yea geniuse, raising the rear is just going to alleviate so much ski pressure right? trple= big wallet? You mean to tell me that its more expensive to buy a 11y/o triple for 1500-2000 than it is to buy a new twin for 13-15k or even one thats 5 y/o, still 3500-5000 and your making what, 115-120 hp 130-135hp w/ 1k worth of mods (600-700cc). You find a set of pipes for this pig for $150-200 (145-150hp)
grand total = $1650-2200
Look on your face when you get stomped = PRICELESS!!!
moparerrnocar 8 months ago
@frostward22 WRONG.
DaveVmax700 3 weeks ago
lol for one its old chassis which means all weight is at front so ur gonna have to raise the back suspension and stiffin the front suspension and put a 2 inch agressive paddle track and maybe invest in some aftermarket pipes and stingers and if u really dont care bout that sled loosen the limber straps that will sheelie like no tomorrow when u do that :P

Doorev550 1 year ago
there is three things that makes your sled wheelie.
1. Horsepower
2. Traction
3. Suspension
I have an old cheyenne with 500cc fan and it wheelies way better then my formula 700 deluxe.
The cheyenne got good traction and suspension setup, The formula has shitloads of power but crappy traction and very hard suspension!

YouInspiredThisOne 1 year ago
@YouInspiredThisOne yeah but he probably has the sled set up for alot of ski pressure because hes an agressive rider...I know a guy who set up his new MXZ 800 with max. ski pressure and it turns like a dream but its never wheelied (But its hard to turn), most real riders sleds are like that.

read he title it says triple pipes failed catwalk........i dont know if its me but i think its quite clear me that triple pipes dont make a sled wheelie
IDIOTSTICK101 1 year ago
@IDIOTSTICK101 i dont think he ever mentioned once in the video or description that he thought that triple pipes made it wheelie... so sir you are a dumbass. and then, to top it all off, you said the same exact thing a week later. hey retard if anyone cared about your first statement, they would have said something immediately after, and judging by the reactions of everyone viewing this video i dont think anyone fucking cares
redrider455 1 year ago
@IDIOTSTICK101 or maybe he was stating that since vmax tripples come with a 3 into 1 pipe the title is saying hey guys i bought 3 individual pipes for my vmax and tried to catwalk but it didnt work

@3rd4thgenFbody viper is more efficiant, a little better suited for trail riding with better suspension

@yamaharules163 thats what i have been hearing but i dont wanna get beat when racing on the rivers

@3rd4thgenFbody vipers are still very fast. you would have to sacrifice suspension for speed.
yamaharules163 1 year ago
@3rd4thgenFbody if ya dont wanna get beat racing.. probably buy something other than a viper or sx.. srx maybe

@0sledneck thats what i was thinking there 138-145hp stock so should be fun and fast

I just got a sx 700 triple. Think that could pull a catwalk? havent had the chance to drive it yet. only has 650 miles on it. Go YAMAHA
Lorkman2 1 year ago
These people are funny, seriously if you aint got a clue about sleds then STFU.
For better catwalks loosen your front limiter, soften the rear, and get a taller track and lower gearing with a stiffer primary spring and steeper helix. Yamy's weren't meant to catwalk. There designed to hook up and go fast. When your skies are in the air, your track is only contacting 30% and you lose alot of traction, when drag racing traction and clutching is everything. Which is why yamy's were no slouch.

hedstaX3M 1 year ago 4
@hedstaX3M uhhh, buddy do you drink your own bath water, cause arcticcat makes great engines. I would say their engines are better over their chassis
TheTRJG 1 year ago
@TheTRJG Actually, ac engines are the worst of the big four. Very fast, and sounds cool, but unreliable... The average life span of an ac is anywhere between 2500 to bout 4000 miles. which isn't good at all. Some more, some less. I rebuilt a srx 700 for a guy for preventative maintenance with 15,000 miles yes miles. The internals looked like new. 127 lbs of compression in all 3 cyl. leakdown check was fantastic. That is why I now ride yamaha. GO BLUE!!!
jamn83 1 year ago
@jamn83 i disagree with you, ac makes reliable engines. my dad's 03 f7 had 13,700 on it before he sold it and nothing ever broke on it when we had it. Out of the brands i'd say ac were #2 or 3 not 4 for reliability. But i do agree with you that yamaha's are reliable
TheTRJG 1 year ago
@TheTRJG Thats very, very rare. Being a small engine mechanic, and knowing many more; we see more cats than anything. I see a lot of polaris, doo and yami as well. Based on years of work, countless hrs of research, and being an avid rider thats not afraid to ride his sled like he stole it... that's my observation. But they do handle, and ride great. If you want a 97 ta 00 sled but don't wanna spend over $2000? Yamaha will give ya the most bang for your buck.
jamn83 1 year ago
@jamn83 no that is not very rare, everyone in family or friends ride arcticcat and never once any of them left us on the side of the trail, and we don't drive them like little church goers either. And we also do all the work and maintance to them ourselves. I dissagree with for the years from 97-00 to get the best for your dollar i'd say polaris
TheTRJG 1 year ago
@TheTRJG I partially agree with you on the polaris deal. The infamous 488 fan cooled trails, and the 600 and 700 pre-ves liberty twins are arguablly some of the greatest engines ever made. But lets compare apples to apples... 600 mono-block tripples-JUNK. Soft cranks. Polaris ultras, and storms ie. 700 and 800. The ultra (680) weighs 66lbs more than the srx 700, and gets about 3-4 mpg less. Don't get me wrong, I love certain sleds from every model. Good discussion.
jamn83 1 year ago
@jamn83 i'm not saying polaris makes or made the best,i'm just saying for that time spand my opinion is that polaris was the best all around sled
TheTRJG 1 year ago
@jamn83 i agree with you on the lack of gas milage of the polaris sleds, i currently own a 96 440 high performance twin and it has worse fuel milage than my dad's 600 xcr triple (which if you look at it right it makes sense being its a high performance and has to work harder to keep up) but his friend is currently selling his artic cat (ZR 600 EFI Limited Edition) for $600 something broke on it and he is going to fix it before he sells it to us, but im wondering if i should get a SPX 700 polaris
MrTopperHarley 1 year ago
@MrTopperHarley What year?
jamn83 1 year ago
@MrTopperHarley Anyways, the year really doesn't matter. That was a very good engine. As long as you do proper maintenance. You can also build the livin crap outta them. Heavy pigs, not so great on gas. But very reliable. Ride hard man!!
jamn83 1 year ago
@jamn83 ok, thanks, the spx was a 97, i think im gonna get the cat though cuz it has alot of money put into it on mods and it also has an extra tank the only thing that im worried about is that the sled bogs out is whats wrong with it and we had an old yamaha that boged and we couldnt diagnose it and if the cat starts to bog agian if the current owner fixes it i really do not want to spend all my time working on the engine of a sled that i dont know a whole alot about. thanks for the info tho
MrTopperHarley 1 year ago
@MrTopperHarley It could be one of many things. Too hard ta tell without lookin at it. Remember one thing... Mods mean more maintenance. Generally speaking, the more you increase power, the less life the engine will have. If its motor upgrades.
jamn83 1 year ago
@hedstaX3M lol ok
qrfzza2 1 year ago
@hedstaX3M its just a bad case of yamaha that heavy ass sled isnt going up even if it was on mud..
