i think they just cut a heart into the toast and then cooked the egg in the heart-hole.

We cut a heart shape in toast with cookie cutter, placed that in pan and broke the egg into the toast!

Like the ad and the company's support for autism, but the commercial celebrates people carving images (of a heart) into a tree as an endearing gesture which I think is irresponsible.

As a creative on the spot, I can tell you that we did struggle with that a bit. We took time to try and make it look like an old carving, as if an older couple were just revisiting it from years ago. I am a huge nature and tree fan, so I understand the sensitivity! And by the way, we didn't do that to a live tree...
