I saw these guys back in the early 90's I think with Gothic Slam and Death angel at the Masonic Temple in Toronto. Paul Bostaph was drumming for them before he went on to slayer. I caught his stick that night. Great band. Old memories.

I saw Forbidden in 1990 in Allentown, PA as they and War And Peace opened up for Death Angel..it was a Bay Area tour-de-force.

The guys in Death Angel were great to meet..I met the drummer, the singer Andy Galeon and either Gus or Dennis Pepa, and they just had this friendly air and an appeal that was hard to forget.

One of the shows I wish I could go back in time and rewind to. Airport Music Hall's not around anymore though :-(

You might find it worth while to check out a band called 'sylosis', they are very clearly influenced by forbidden. Of course they are also influenced by stuff like inflames too and certainly have a slightly anoying metalcore edge to them but check out a song like 'after lifeless years'. Imagine Russ doing the singing and its pretty much forbidden.
