@sk8tr65 Each side made the OTHER GAME'S protagonist picture. So the picture of Alex Mercer was made by the guys who made InFamous, and Cole was by the Prototype team.

Actually, both pictures had unicorns. And rainbows. It's just that the pic of Cole was Vegas Stripper and Alex got the girl next door look. Yahtzee even jokes about how both developers came to the conclusion of "rainbows, unicorns, and exotic underpants" when the wording of the challenge was "in a bra".

actually inFamous wins as Zero forgot the Gathering Sidequest on each game. Prototype has orbs that serve no purpose other than xp bonus and the brain gathering is completely random where you can play it 6 times before finding everything. Where as infamous gives blast shards that increase the overall charge and the dead drops more of a backstory.

He got the photos and showed them in Extra Punctuation on the site the very next week, seems to me that game developers look to Yahtzee for the flaws in their games, even Peter Molenui (or however the fuck you spell his name).

I've only played Prototype and only seen Infamous 2. Despite this, Infamous 2 has a more light weight destruciton system with certain parts of buildings while vehicles are much tougher than they should be. Prototype allows the destruciton of entire buildings, but only the infected ones, and the more realistic destruction of cars, but when the breaks hit they instantly are lauched at a faster speed. I'll take Prototypes simplicity over Infamous.

When I played Prototype I couldn't help but criticize the story telling. The plot was good (and for a video game it was excellent) but the, as Yahztee said, the story, characters and actions all contredict each other. The story would either need to make him into the villain his actions showed him doing, he would have to stop killing every person he sees or the NPCs would have to ALL be evil for this to work. But I still liked the game, its better than most in almost all aspects.

@afroebob I murdered lots of random npc's in GTA san andreas but my character still seemed like an alright guy. anyways I thought prototype was much better than infamous interms of actually being fun. when a game has an evil, good karma system, I want my actions to have a direct effect on the story, not a different look or a different version of the same cut scene. I think that was one of the main problem with infamous's karma system. it made very little differance in the overall game.

I swear if they had a karma system like they did in infamous, playing good would be the most agonizing gameplay experience ever. there was a point where I had to drive a tank somewhere and I tried driving it without hitting anyone, I could barely get ANYWHERE lol. not to mention the fact there are countless times where you need a random npc to consume for healing when enemies get too dangerous and risky to consume.

I do think that Prototype's combat is fairly more colorful than Infamous. Infamous's combat is a little more earnest. However, as much as I like Yahtzee, I -strongly- disagree with the fact that you'll only use the whipfist. Go use it on a few Hunters and tell me how well that works for you. Then use the Blade.
