Hey Dr.Perry your videos are great and very informative especially the one on post workout which makes alot of sense and people look at me like im crazy when i grab and ice cream cone at the gas station after a serious workout lol and yes i am seeing great results from watching that video. My question is i was wondering if you can post up a video how to approach your nutrition if you were to workout out in the morning which i what i do sometimes if i cant make it in the evening. Thank you!
It's ok even if it was a critique...that's how we all learn and get better. Even doctors:)I do not want to lock the elbows. I like to keep a slight bend to protect the joint and rotate from my core...the elbow is a stabilizing point for rotation. All my obliques are engaged. Camera angle might be th issue, but now you know my intent. Thanks for the post.
@njlaserdoctor when he says locked he really just has his arm engaged. look at it again hes got his arm slighty bent. hes saying dont use that pec. major . movent comes from the core and hips
Pretty simple move, but highly effective. I do tend to talk a lot about exercises..just the doctor part of me wanting to teach. :) Remember to keep your pace slow and controlled and push through with the abs as far as possible. I will make note to demonstrate a little longer next time. Thank you for the feedback.
Maybe a similar movement in twisting, but a completely different type of resistance from the band with concentric and eccentric muscle loading. You hit different muscle fibers and stimulate growth and non adaptation. Key to shocking the muscle. Medicine Balls have different gravitational torques on the abs. Bands are better in my opinion.

Not to criticize the doctor here, but your elbows don't really lock out in this exercise... or is it just a bad camera angle?

aww i wish there was more exercises u did with that band i really liked it and will have to incorporate that into my workouts now :) thanks dr perry
