I read Wade Davis' "The Serpent And The Rainbow" and I read Freuchen's books, including the one with the aforementioned story where he almost froze to death. I do NOT recall any mention of a poo knife. Perfesser Davis said he got that part from reading Freuchens' original journal. I wonder about that. I think the good perfessers venerable friend was telling him a tall tale. Arctic old-timers love to do that.

Well I for one wasn't worrying about global warming. I have been hoping earth to warm up for decades. The polar bear would move south to where land is and become invisible because of their clear fur. It is a sad moment though, that money helped protect these "frauds" for so many years about human made global warming. Well now that it has finally been exposed, science can now return to topics of concern. Like improving our waste management systems, or reconstructing rivers to former flow paths.
