  • Great song, but it's SO much better when they play it live.

  • one of their best - why was it so small.

  • kiss me red had a cowriter r.veasey

  • Can't be that bad since first Jeff Lynne from Electric Light Orchestra made a version of it. Latest part of this story goes all the way to the Disney Corporation who uses an extremely similar chorus for their "Disney Dance Express" song. So don't say this song isn't a hit. The Doctor might not be, but the song definately is! And I agree that this version is by far the best!

  • Andsycane1 you are totally correct.....

  • Ok ! I'm gagging ! I had no idea they did a version of this song ! LOVE IT !

  • Cheap Trick kills on this song mid-eighties over production but so what still GREAT!

  • Cheap Trick kills on this song. But u have to remember the time n which it was made. I wish it wasnt so over produced but still great!

  • I suppose this song is better than the others on this CD. But the production still reminds me too much of being "trapped in the mid 80s". Rock and roll had been chased off the airwaves by The New Wave. I was a teenager then and mainly listened to the 70s stations, so I could hear some friggin ROCK music!

  • This song, like the entire Doctor record, is unfairly dismissed as being crap. Strip away some of the dated mid-80s production, and it's a fantastic f_cking song and this is by far the best version. Incidentally it was written by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly who wrote Alone for Heart and a ton of other huge hits. I'm still puzzled about why this song was not a hit. Oh, that's right, Epic Records sucks ass. Nevermind....

  • @andycane1 100% dead on my friend!!!

  • i have to say the way cheap trick sing this song pure sexy, elo is to mellow, dreams is to out dated

  • es mejor la version de ELO part 2

  • @polacoone de quien es original esta rola? no importa que sea un gran fan de Elo, pero el elo original no el elo II pero soy fan jejej

  • Wow, what a trip, I thought this was just an ELO part 2 song, I didn't know Cheap Trick did it. It's pretty good, but I think I actually like ELO part 2's version better.

  • I've seen them many times and I love all there music!! I love Robin Zander!!

  • I dunno I think I like the ELO Part 2 version more

  • Everything these guys do, I always happen to love. Whether you may or may not like it at first, it always grows on you. Great song! :)

  • someone posted a live version of this by CT from the rnr evening news that was awesome. it got yanked though.

  • I just posted the live video.

  • The song itself was not dismissive, but it had an overkill effect on the synths.

  • 1 of the best over all albums they did!!!!!!

  • I think this is a great song

  • E.L.O. pt 2 had a version of this, on an album about 4 years after this was released by Cheap Trick , which leads me to believe that it may have been part `comprised` move as the result of an ailing relationship with their label of that time...

  • It was not a single.

  • THIS WASN'T A SINGLE? WTF! I remember them playing it when the album came out. It's different but sounds great all the same. Did they write it? I saw these loosers called Dream demolishing it.

  • The single right is not the best of cheap trick they hate this song

  • Amazing song, should've been the single
