@rwarrawr well we all have our personal preferences but saying that stratovarius isn't that great? lol they were the pioneers of how blind guardian and helloween came to be plus id say they are much better that, "arent that great" even if i wasnt much of a fan
@xXMetalxLoveXx Pretty sure Helloween came out with their debut album four years before Stratovarius did, but whatever you say. Not only that but the two bands sound completely different. Helloween was more about awesome guitar work than fucking with keyboards
What did Stratovarius even have to do with Holy Grail to begin with? I heard way more influence from Maiden, American Power Metal and Thrash bands than I was any European power metal after listening to the whole album. O_o
@rwarrawr yes they did come out with the album first but stratovarius was formed first and they do sound different but not completely different. stratovarius incorporates badass keyboards but the guitar work thing? sorry but thats bullshit lol timo tolkkis guitar writing style was far more enriched and technical than that of helloween. but i never said stratovarius had anything to do with holy grail or influences i was just trolling that day lol i know holy grail is badassXD
Before it was released on CD there was a version on YouTube that was a little faster and higher pitch, which I got used to first and I really can't find it anywhere now!
@bobthebakedpotatoe Fame doesn't indicate quality. Immortal Guardian is one of the most technically skilled band I've ever heard, but no one on here has heard them, most likely. P-Lander Z has the coolest stage show I've ever seen, but they don't have any platinum albums. Once you get away from popular metal, you find the best acts there are, so long as you're willing to wade through a couple of subpar bands to get to the gems.
They are soo good. Fuckk
