@goooogrrr IF you have any honesty then you know your statement is just bluff and bluster. But you are welcome to your own view. Whatever Nebraska was running from then Oklahoma is running from it too. The Big 12 is toast and you can thank Texas for it.
BTW: My grandfather was a REAL Sooner who was in the Oklahoma land rush and settled in Muskogee.
how is it bluff and bluster..seriously? All i was saying was in response to another comment by a Sooner fan, whom I have had very good friends who are Sooner fans, .and I respect their program more than any other besides my Husks...another comment saying UNL was running from the big 12 cuz they cant compete with OU. Then i stated that, contrarily, UNL in past 2 seasons has begun to catch up with OU again in recruiting, performance and coaching. I really meant no insult. but it wasnt bluff.
My hat is off to your Grandfather. sincerely, but I wasnt bluffing when I said Martinez ankle was trashed. he was literally limping on the field during the last 4 games. I was born raised in Lincoln. I think it is unfortunate that the classic OU/UNL rivalry that I loved watching growing up is gone. I feel the rivalry was about to start becoming exciting again with UNL making strides, at least defensively, and the real original Big 8 bullies wont meet up much any more. Respect to OU.Peace
@goooogrrr So many time I have watched the NU/OU game with friends and family and cheered on the Huskers. I lived in Omaha and I had many relatives in Tulsa and Muskogee at the time. I lament the loss of the mutual rivalry and respect between those two legendary teams.
congrats to the Sooners. coming from a diehard Husker, It was hard to watch but, I don't have any excuses other than we were outcoached and outplayed. Good luck in the future and I hope these teams meet again down the road
@bm4nu Yeah this will definitely be a missed rivalry. Nebraska is me new favorite team in the big ten. But yeah I'm a sooner fan and I was so freakin nervous because I though the Huskers had us beat in the beginning
I had a feeling Nebraska would choke. They have a problem winning down in Texas territory for some reason. Nebraska has a long way to go before they come back to their 1990's dominance again. They're not a terrible team by any means. Only 3 loses during a season isn't anything to shrug off. It's just not national championship material. They will be in the top 25 next year and that's still pretty good. Congrats to Oklahoma for coming back to win.
@lU2BE2 Nebraska is already back. They have a championship defense with a lil work needed on the offense. Nothing to worry about sinse they are getting 2 top 10 QB recruits coming in and the 2nd best running back recruit coming in. Time will tell.
It's a shame Nebraska didn't have a offensive coordinator who knew how to make play calls. Props to Oklahoma for fighting back for the victory. Just wish they would have kept running up the middle .
thanks for putting bob barry's audio call on the vid....sure u can never really tell wuts happening as its happening ....but i cant imagine anyone else sayin "Touchdown Oklahoma!!"
