HOLY CRAP!!! This REALLY works. I just did my girlfriend's car using this method and it works just like the video! Peeled off easily with absolutely no residue. I have to say I was skeptical, but it REALLY works!! Great video!!
Most seem to be missing the main point of the video. It's just the method used to remove the tint. You do not need to buy a $220 steamer. I bought a $25 garment steamer from Target and used the same method to remove my tint and then returned it the next day. Done in 30 mins.
I bought a steamer from Walmart for about $25 and used it like the one shown in this video. My window tint and glue came off easily just like they have shown in this video. A couple hours of my time and the steamer from Walmart was a whole lot cheaper than paying the tint shop to remove it.
awesome my tint cost me like 125 to have it installed and now all i have to do is buy a 250 steamer that i could use once for this job. do you have any ideas for peeps that do not want to spend 225 for a steamer. have you forgotten that there is a recession going on out here lol
@rammstein11004 yep um there are a few options, pick up a corner like he did and peel away slowly. then when all the glue is left behind either spray it wet and scrape off with a razor blade or 0000 steel wool. or spray it with windex that has ammonia in it and put some saran wrap....? plastic wrap on it to hold the liquid there for 15 minutes, then scrape and it should be easy
@rammstein11004 YUP !!! Go to homedepot go to the paint dept get a cheap steamer for 55$ ...... DONE. OR get a plastic garbage bag soak the window completely with water or windex slap the bag on making sure to cover all of it let it sit in the sun for 20 min or use heat gun to heat it up. When it good and hot grab a corner of the film and pull it off slow. i use this for mostly rear windows but can be done on the sides as well.
You do realize that the part you "peeled" back was already removed then re-stuck onto the window, look at all the bubbles. Watch my DIY on how to remove window tint.
@kevpal888 no, use one or the other, hot water wont work, you need hot steam, or a heat gun. a hair dryer on high could work but would probably take longer since its not as hot as a heat gun, or hot steam

I removed mine by having sex until we steamed it up enough and the tint slide ride off, you can keep your $220 steamer

@AM8080AIMCOM walmart sells steamers that work just as fine, actually better since they have the wider steam head, for around 20-30 dollars

@heroespandajaguares yes you can, but you will leave some leftover glue residue, which you can go over with nail polish remover and a razor blade
