@Stamps9311 I don't know. I've heard the term used incorrectly for Snipe as well. Snipe drum, Woodcock rode. The term is used for the territorial display flight of the male.
Great vid. Seems to be few behavioral similarities between your Eurasian woodcock and our North American variety., but ours are just as weird. Gotta love em.
