There are no hidden messages, reverse any song or even reverse someone taking and you can sometimes find what sounds like a hidden message but i have yet to come across an example of real backmasking.

He's expressing how little he cares for the person, not saying "sorry I didn't rescue you from drowning". Apparently he wrote it while going through a divorce, so it could mean a number of things and be written for a number of different people who affected him at the time.
