From what I have heard the Comic-Con footage showed that Spiderman was a complete joker and smart ass which is what we all want. Face it, Batman needed to be rebooted as we never got an actual origin story in the previous films and his origin was only quick in 1989's movie and that Schumacher killed the series. Nolan decided to give fans of Batman the origin story that was never told on film before. Listen, Raimi wrote a horrible script for Spider-Man 4 and the studios hated it and the cast and crew called it quits, they rebooted it instead.

Batman Begins was the first batman film to ever told that story and it succeeded in that as being the first true origin story for Batman. afterall the series needed a reboot 8 years after Batman and Robin

As much as I don't like the fact that this series is getting a reboot rather then a 4th movie, I'm optimistic. Sure, these movies were kick ass and they will be hard to try and top or at least make equal to, but I want to at least give the movie a chance before I say it isn't as good as this trilogy.

The first Spider-Man movie is titled "Spider-Man Strikes Back" and this was released in 1979.
The second Spider-Man movie is titled "Spider-Man: The Dragon's Challenge" and this was released in 1981.
Nicholas Hammond played the character of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in both of those movies.

Face it, Batman needed to be rebooted as we never got an actual origin story in the previous films and his origin was only quick in 1989's movie and that Schumacher killed the series. Nolan decided to give fans of Batman the origin story that was never told on film before. Listen, Raimi wrote a horrible script for Spider-Man 4 and the studios hated it and the cast and crew called it quits, they rebooted it instead.

Well Batman's origin was ONLY told briefly with his childhood in 89's film but never the whole story, we never got to see how he BECAME Batman on how he got his gadgets, how he got his cars, how he met Jim Gordon, how he got his suit and how he truly became Gotham's Savior. Batman Begins was the first batman film to ever told that story and it succeeded in that as being the first true origin story for Batman. afterall the series needed a reboot 8 years after Batman and Robin

Look Spiderman 3 was complete garbage. I can't deny that. But Spiderman 1 and 2 were awesome, and Spiderman 2 is arguably the best superhero movie of all time.
It still boggles my mind that they're rebooting the franchise so soon. I'm sure the new one is going to suck.

@Johnlindsey289 Yes because Batman seriously needed a reboot after Batman & Robin was made, as both fans and critics hated the film completely, which was why there was an eight year gap until Batman Begins came out. I still think it's too soon to reboot Spiderman considering the third movie just came out back in 2007 and the series is still fresh in my mind. I hate that there rebooting it, I think Sony is making a BIG mistake!!!!!

Causing Sony to find a different director to reboot the franchise John Malkovich was signed on to play The Vulture as Spiderman 4's main villain and Felicia Hardy was going to be in Spiderman 4 too but not as The Black Cat she was going to be Vulture's daughter and become a villain called the Vulturess and not being faithful to the Felicia Hardy character.

Andrew looks just like Peter (especially the way Peter looked in the 70s, 80s and 90s comics and cartoons), he will be portraying Peter/Spidey correctly, he has been a Spidey fan since he was tiny, and he is a very good actor.

As much as I don't like the fact that this series is getting a reboot rather then a 4th movie, I'm optimistic. Sure, these movies were kick ass and they will be hard to try and top or at least make equal to, but I want to at least give the movie a chance before I say it isn't as good as this trilogy.
