@maxlen234 that was the point, jigsaw (john) didnt make this trap, mark hoffman did using a voice changer thing to disguise his voice as johns but they eventually find out that its MARK'S VOICE and he just wanted REVENGE on his sisters killer, so no matter what Seth couldnt have lived, hope it helped!

The initial idea of SAW is a very good one, however there is a slight danger that these sequels are turning into nothing more than gore fests.

The writers MUST keep themselves on their toes and keep their audiences enthralled with cutting edge storylines-otherwise SAW fans will eventually get bored with the same thing .

It wasn't Jigsaw who set up this trap; it was Hoffman. And he did it specifically to kill this guy, because this guy murdered his sister. He only did it in a 'jigsaw' style so he could pass it off as another Jigsaw trap and not get caught for it. Watch the whole thing, makes much more sense.
